That's because Simmonds has been playing all season without functioning legs, and it hasn't affected his game on bit.

If Couturier is hurt, everything will litrilly be terrible.

Yes I cringed when I heard that on Sunday. Crosby is a lot of things. Sucks isn't one of them.

Simmonds, IMO, is a complementary player, not a star. To put him on a level with guys like Crosby, Kane, Malkin, or even Toews or Briere is to way overrate him and expect to much from him. Jake has been a flat out disappointment this series though and needs to play better and to be more disciplined.

Giroux is giving his all and he's a legit top player in this league. I think Patrick is going to be one too, but he's not quite there yet at age 19.

IMO Simmonds is a star. He's has multiple 30 goal seasons. He has an All-Star Game under his belt. I would argue the casual hockey watcher knows more about Simmonds than Voracek.

With this said, Simmonds isn't a super star. Voracek on the other hand is or should be a super star. For some, he's been a disappointment in these playoffs...Period! I can't think of Jake Voracek's greatest moments in the playoffs.

Which is why I asked where some of you guys grade our stars to the best in the league with an actual playoff track record.
