You know with being able to talk to free agents what a week early now, if Tavares isn't going to happen I could see a 2-3 year deal being possible. Not likely but possible.

Similar salary as to what he makes now. He can get more term elsewhere but I think the allure of this team being on cusp of hopefully multiple runs will make him leave years on the table.

Hard to say. With the amount of quality wingers ready to go I'd be comfortable giving Nylander that sheltered offensive role. He was strong on strong side faceoffs tonight.

But Polak has been good.....say what you want about him but he adds an element to the Leafs blue line that they need...at least during the playoffs.

I think it also helps that he just has to wack the puck to Dermott and he magically gets it out.
