Oh I’ve said much more than that over the years and was usually met with resistance, looking back on it I don’t remember making any suggestion or prediction in regards to your rebuild that turned out to be off the mark.

I’ll say it again, with the right moves, a little luck and a lot of patience this will be a top 10 team by the 2020-21 season. Plenty of time for JBots to screw it up but I think he’s smart and has done a great job so far.

It will happen. I like GMJB. His trades last year were pretty good, even if they didn’t work out as well as planned, those are the low risk moves he needs to make. Winning the Lottery won’t speed anything up but it for sure will land you one of those elusive Unicorn pieces only a handful of NHL have and the rest covet. Just don’t expect Dahlin to step in and be Drew Doughty in year one.

Safe to say this years versions of Eichel, Samson and pretty well anyone else is equal to the 12/13 versions of Hall, RNH and Yakupov. Who in their right mind thinks any team can go from worst in the league to ‘good’ even in 3 seasons?
