A good friend of mine has prostate cancer and has had to have a catheter for the past six plus months while dealing with internal infections. I see the pain he's in and feel for you guys.

When I told her how debilitating this was, she said imagine how some people have to live with stuff long term, or even permanent.

I can honestly say that I had the same thought many times the last few weeks... I have a new appreciation for people who actually have difficult things to deal with in their lives... not my minor bullpoop.

Urologist says only one thing to do.

Drink at least 3L every day. More if you sweat a lot from work or exercise.

He says you do that, you should be fine.

The bad news for me is apparently coffee and chocolate can cause problems. I consume those like a madman. Actually lots of good foods can contribute. Beets, spinach, nuts...gonna just have to take my chances with this poop. I cut a lot of the meat out of my diet, so I got that going for me.

Those are the most common stones. I consume all of that stuff, in large quantities (except beets)

I specifically asked urologist and he said not to worry about the diet... just keep up the water drinking.
