Don Cherry said the problem is that there is no more fighting. I cannot begin to fathom how a sport should have fighting as an accepted form of policing the game. I am glad that concept is all but dead now.

We just need the league to actually step up and start doing something.

So for suspension 7, what does Marchand get (if anything), maybe 10 reg. season games? How is that even a mild deterrent. It just helps keeps the wear and tear down on the season grind.

I don't think the volume of infractions and the severity of the infractions should be handled the same way actually.
Example: 9 parking tickets + 1 speeding ticket doesn't = a DUI.
The punishment SHOULD consistently match the crime.
Marchand does a lot of illegal parking.
Kadri just got a 24hr.
Wilson should lose his licence.

Once by Leafs organization

4x for head shots including last night hit.

Both players have been fined for other incidents

Yes Marchand plays on the edge and has been known to cross the line, so does Kadri.

Should Kadri been suspended, absolutely all previous suspensions were for head shots. You simply can't charge someone, launch yourself at them and hip check their head.

Kadri admitted after the game that he saw the refs not calling the penalty on Wingles, and took it upon himself to line him up.
That shows predatory intent. Kadri should have kept mouth closed and he would have received 1-2 less games. He did himself no favors by speaking out.

Sucks you guys lose him, but he earned it.

P.s. League does not favor Boston, Marchand or any other player/team.
If they did 30 other teams ownership/GMs/ and players would be filing lawsuits so we can put that idea to rest.

The games was a complete circus back then.

Looking to fill out the roster next year, I think Grundstrom is the perfect type player we need in the lineup, skill with a in your face player.

Its not from behind on that play but he did also plant him from behind 5 minutes earlier and then to come back and bee line it right at him and lung at his head? C'mon. I dont like seeing players suspended for the playoffs but it had to be done. Marchand would have been suspended for the series. Cant really defend the hit at all.

On that note. It should have only been two games. I only say that because Doughty got one and Kadris is much worse.

If the NHL wasn't dumb. It would be Kadri getting one game and Doughty zero.

Yeah, I think you probably understand that other fans in this league would have loved to have seen the league actually do something to Marchand and don't consider 6 suspendable offenses "illegal parking". I know the decent Bruins fans from the asshats that are here to rub our faces in it, because, yet again, the Bruins benefited from a disciplinary decision.

Then we have a Canucks fan show up to chirp.

You mentioned being a ref earlier... if I was a ref, the rule would be, after anything contraversial or annoying... stay the (frank) out of that team's thread.

I remember a night where I was on the Habs thread AGREEING with them on a real upsetting play (I think it was the hit on Eller) and the Habs ref asked me to leave in a PM. They were pissed. I was not trolling or rubbing it in in any way... but I understood, and I left.

We don't need Bruins fans in here to rub our face in the league's bullpoop again.
