Ok guys, you’re down 1 game and already you’re laying the foundation for a summers worth of excuses?
How about your boys be better at scoring goals than the Bruins. It’s really that simple.
Time to cut the bullpoop as a fan base already. - Larsson_fan
No bullpoop here, but Oilers fans are experts at this after pissing away a decade's worth of first overall picks. |

Sorry dude, we have a right to not be happy about this.
Look at the past, they go light for playoffs on suspensions for players that actually matter. Not this time - Santo_44

At what?
Kadri being a moron?
Yourself for being a leafs fan?
The oilers for winning McDavid still?

It's just a game in the end.
With Parros wheel of suspension in full swing, anytime a player is boarded they may as well stay down and fake injury, it should be an auto 5 min penalty and a game misconduct plus suspension. |

I just don't get how last year, game 1, CBJ was down 4-1.....Calvert breaks his stick in half over the Pens players head from behind them continues to shoulder him to the head for good measure.
Gets one game
They need to be more consistent with this |

At this point it should be clear that even the officials don't understand the officiating. We can complain about it all we want but it won't change anything at all. |

It's just annoying that the major matchup centre that was KEY to any chance of winning is gone for the majority of the series. |

He's benfiting from from very responsible defensive play from all their forwards.
He's average too good right now. - Tumbleweed
This is rask's entire career. He's above average but he needs a good team in front of him. |

Cherry giving the tonguing to Kadri was one of the funniest things I've seen. A pumped up conservative old man kissing a straight Muslim Canadian on live TV.

Johnsson is going to score 6 goals in the three games
Then Babs will take him out and Komarov will give the puck away in game 7 OT to lose |

He's been fine, Hyman was the only forward to have a good game last game.

2 Repeat offenders, Kadri and Wilson.
You can argue that both hits are dangerous, reckless and need to be removed from the game. Both are the kind of hits the NHL needs to remove.
One player is a key member of the top 6 on his team and a 30+ goal scorer. The other is the last remnant of what used to be called a "goon".
One hit had a reason (not justification) behind it. The other was just a guy targeting someone on the other team.
One hit knocked out a role-player who just laid a questionable hit on a leading scorer. One hit knocked out a star who was fighting for a puck.
In one case, it is true that the hit becomes not nearly so dangerous if the target doesn't go down BEFORE the hit. (I still think Kadri should and could have held up). In the other case the head was targeted, specifically, and hit.
The valuable player gets 3 games for knocking the bit player out of the game.
The goon gets 0 games for knocking a star out of the game.
There is no hockey justification or rules or standards justification for this. I have no idea what the motive is but something is definitely wrong
... and I haven't even touched the of this being Boston, and what meaningless slap on the wrist they get for egregious infractions... or in some cases simply nothing at all for blatant rule violations. |

Matthews didn't look like anything. He simply wasn't involved much at all, except on the periphery. He looked afraid.
He has shown a tendency to do that at times. He has found a way to reengage in the past. He doesn't have time this time to "figure it out". I suspect we see a different Matthews tonight.
Also, it seemed to happen to him less in year 2 than it did in year 1 and he seemed to snap out of it more quickly. So I think this is part of the growing process. He is still very young.
I think it is fair to make a negative observation when it is deserved, and it is. I think we also need to keep in mind that, big picture, there has been progress. He is probably 3 or 4 years from his peak, and looking at the careers of Bergeron and Datsyuk, we are going to have many years after that of a premier top-line center. |

I think Matthews will dominate tonight, he has that (frank) you in him when he's angry. I'm expecting nothing less from him tonight. |
