Are there still not lineup changes? I heard on an interview that he would still evaluate things at morning skate, kind of insinuating that maybe he would rethink the lineup today.

And why couldn't he? He's played a solid role for the Phantoms this yer. He's played in the WJ's.

In a 3rd line role he would be like Patrick was at the start of the year. Next year Patrick will have a much bigger role. I actually think you will see him kill penalties next year.

i'm not saying he couldn't come in and play 3rd line center next year, but not at the level the Flyers would need to really scare people with their top 3 lines.

There's no morning skate so we won't know until they take the ice before the game

1. Yes way.
2. If he was mentally broken he would have karate kicked Crosby and windmilled anyone who got in his path.
3. Calgary dumped him because they needed cap space.
4. You are wrong.
5. Carolina isn't even in the playoffs.
6. He believes in himself.
7. No one has reported he's still injured.
8. You're wrong.
9. Fight me.
10. Do you even lift bro?
11. He has more experience than Mrazek
12. He's been the Flyers best goaltender this season
13. Game 1 wasn't entirely on him
14. You're are wrong

I get it.

Get Spezza for a 4th rounder, Dallas retains salary.

Trade Simmonds to Montreal for Galchenyuk.

Boom

Giroux - Couturier - Galchenyuk
Lindblom - Patrick - Voracek
TBD - Spezza - Konecny
Raffl - laughton - Lehtara or replacement

That could be fun

In reality, the result of Game 1 is no different than if they lost 2 - 1 in OT.

Now, if someone can do me a favor and remind me of this if the Flyers lose tonight and I'm drowning in a sea of Jameson and beer, I'd appreciate it

TIA

Here's the thing with Elliot. He wasn't "thrown into the fire". He's a veteran, he's been hurt before for periods of time and he's gotten right back into it. He knows his body and if he isn't ready to play and give his team a chance to win I don't think he'd play.
- Streit2ThePoint

I agree. There's nothing unusual about players coming back from injury to play in the playoffs. It happens all the time. If he and the team determine he's ready to play, than all we can do is accept that he's ready to play.

Similarly I don't feel guilty at all for criticizing Giroux's play last year or Simmonds this year. If players and the team deny injuries and the player plays poorly then what option do I have but to blame the player for his poor play?

Probably because Hextall had Gudas' wife held hostage and told him not to take a penalty or else.

And they have no rinaldos left

We just got beat 7-0. We were out shot, not as physical & need scoring. I got Hagg & Weal waiting in the wings to help in both of those areas. I know what we'll do we will go with the same line up. Brilliant. What a genius.

Brian Elliott has played in 8 playoff losses in a row.

He's faced 182 shots during those games, making 155 saves, or a .824 sv%

Yeah, he's toast.

How long before the first Pens goal?

Over/under the 2 minute mark.

I'm pregaming at the local bar so I should be in full fury the first 2 minutes.
