Don't like either of them, but I'm more pissed that those (frank)ing upstarts made the playoffs in their inaugural season. - Wildschwein
It's a disgrace schwein. |

It's a (frank)ing travesty! I had to wait 10 (frank)ing years to see an Oilers playoff game. |

I'm starting a campaign to get the Isles to move so we can get an expansion franchise and new owners. It may be the only way to get rid of Snow without going to jail. |

Its sounds so trivial when you put it that way. - Wildschwein
I appreciate your respect for our nation's sovereignty, but in this case we can make an exception. |

I cannot wait until Seattle comes in and dominates like Vegas. Maybe Lou's kid will be GM to make even more painful for the Isles. - ses111
Maybe they can trade Ladd and 1st to Seattle. |

Thought this was interesting. Friedman's take on Ledecky's comments at the press conference.
6. On the Islanders: I don’t know whether it was a lack of communication, or someone said something they shouldn’t, but it’s clear ownership was not prepared to announce a return for GM Garth Snow and head coach Doug Weight. As owner Jon Ledecky said Monday and re-iterated with a statement Tuesday, “Everyone is under review.” It could be something as simple as Tavares’ decision determining everyone’s fate. But, the organization was not prepared to commit to anyone or anything at this time. Ledecky getting up and leaving the podium was telling. He was not pleased, and, my guess is he didn’t want to say anything that made the situation worse. |

Would Lehner be good enough? Remember it will take a special goalie with the way this team plays defense. - ses111
Lehner plays great right up until he gives up bad goals at the worst times. |

We've been through that with Halak. Rather pay a little extra to get the right goalie. |

How he could even consider bringing back Snow and Weight? There is absolutely nothing to review. Tavares'r decision should not be a factor. These 2 must go ASAP

Every day that becomes less likely. Snow certainly isn't acting like he's getting the boot. |

Don't know what to think Jimmy. You could be right but we don't know what is going on behind the scenes as far as L and M searching or interviewing candidates.
I think that most of the A+ GM prospects are busy with their teams in the PO's so they have to wait if one or more of Fitzgerald, Guerin, Fenton etc. are on their wish list.
Maybe a blessing that they are going to go after a top candidate versus promoting Weight to GM and Greiss to Coach and that's why it hasn't been done yet.
I just don't believe these Guys want Snow running their 500 Million Dollar baby anymore.

This is just a guess, but I think if JT walks Snow gets the boot otherwise he stays. I don't have any sources, so this isn't a nugget. |
