Would Lehner be good enough? Remember it will take a special goalie with the way this team plays defense.

Not sure but couldnt be worse that what is currently here/left ...

YES!!!!! The franchise is saved! Yet another brilliant move by Snow to save his own ass the team. Definitely Cup bound now.

Don't worry gentlemen. I've had word from a solid source that Lee will score no less than 120 goals next year, thus negating the need to upgrade defence and goaltending. As a result of this guaranteed production, Ladd will be taking over the crease next season.

I'm anything but a Snow supporter, but to say this guy sucks based on what you saw for 5 minutes 8 years ago is a little well, ridiculous. Sign him to a low end deal if he does well he is yours to move forward with, if not so be it, but you are not bringing in a top flight #1 goalie in here without selling the farm.

All joking aside, no way to tell what kind of goalie he is based on 4 NHL games. Garth is still lousy nothing changes that and I'd rather have Sorokin, but bringing back Koskinen seems low risk.

Meh. Koskinen is now a goaltender who, save for 51 games in North America 6-7 years ago, has spent his entire life playing on the bigger ice surface in Europe. He plays behind a literal all-star team also.

While it is most definitely unfair to judge him based on very limited NA experience...are the Islanders really in a position to be experimenting in net right now?

Also it’s not as though there are multiple goaltenders of worth available this offseason.

Correct and why would he come to the land of Nomads, Billboards and incompetence?

No way should Koskinen be counted on to be a #1 goalie for the Isles. Some of the things about the bigger ice surface and playing for an All-star team can be said for Sorokin as well right? I'm not saying that Koskinen is Sorokin. I'm just not going to rip Garth on this one unless Koskinen was brought over to be the #1 guy.

Don't worry Im sure he would rather stay in the KHL and travel on old planes with puke and diarrhea stained seats and bus trips vs coming to The Islanders.

All kidding aside, how could Sorokin not want to prove himself at the NHL level? What's left to prove in the KHL? He does not have to sign a lifetime contract with the Isles.
