This option intrigues me the most.

Bogo and Okposo for Bobby Ryan? sort of a 2-for-1 deal

Idk how you get there, but i would definitely explore that route. Not necessarily Ryan, but something like that. IF they did do that deal though, and there's a lockout, perhaps they'd get an amnesty buyout and they could use it on him. I think it's better to have one really bad contract than 2 pretty bad contracts

Or just buy bogo out if you can

It's a real "rock meet hard place" situation with those two.

Okposo looks good some games and Moulson-esque others. That to me means by the end of his contract we're going to be in trouble. Bogo is dead to me.

I'd be game to take back a bad contract, but only if it's shorter term. We've got a year or two to finagle, but I want to be out of the woods in 2 years max. That means no Loui or Bobby trades for me, but I get why we should at least see what options are out there.

Bogo and Beaulieu need to need to go imo.

Risto
Scandella
McCabe
Guhle
Nelson

We need two defensemen to come in, take two spots in the top 4, and push McCabe and Nelson to fight for the #6 spot. Botts seemed high on Baptiste and Bailey competing for a spot next year, but maybe there's another prospect that can be the sweetener to take Bogo

Edit: forgot antipin. Not sure it matters

I agree with the above post 100%. Those are the 2 that have to go and the 5 that will likely stay. Unless there is a big trade involving one of Scandella or Risto.

That may be our best move to help our team, if someone is interested in him.

Unless you are getting a better defender back, this would only set us back further IMO.

And the Sabres are happy to select....

I'm saying we get 2 again, stick with the theme. Svech all day.
