I never care to believe what a GM says about a player directly. He’s never going to bash Ryan O’Reilly when talking about Ryan O’Reilly

His comments in the presser about the leadership group, and possibly changing our core players is more telling to me.

If you can explain how Nelson is eligible, I'd love to hear it. If you can't, I'm assuming he's there til the end of the regular season. He was not one of the 4 recalls.

Notre Dame games were often showed by NBCsports the last couple years,
so I’ve see a decent amount of his games
Maybe 10-ish

Kid can skate, & he was almost always the best player on the ice
Better than Cj Smith was when we signed him imo
He’ll be in Rochester next year,
but i like the signing a lot
He was fun to watch

Botts goes on to talk about how we have a losing culture and it’s up to him & Phil to work through that with the players

Their attitudes have been reported as bad at times too
I don’t think it’s any particular guy who is the issue

And i think that TALENT is what’s keeping us from getting better

Next year,
we are getting a HUGE influx of talent (and speed) that we didn’t have to start this season

Mittelstadt, Guhle, Nelson, 1st round pick, Rodrigues, Baptiste, Bailey, Ullmark

That’s 8 new guys in the lineup...
instead of Griffith, Tennyson, Criscuolo, etc

But we know he didn't because he wasn't one of the 4 call ups. Guhle and Baptiste did. Only thing I can come up with is that his contract is ending, and maybe he can sign an ATO.
