for years you've been claiming that a players like bogo and gorges are such a disaster that they're bringing the whole team down, but their play, and those of their ilk (tennyson, Redmond, maybe Fedun, beaulieu, the #4 Ristolainen,) has no effect on o'reilly?...or any other forward for that matter?

That's not what I said, at all.

I'm saying he claimed he "lost his love of the game at times" and the reason he gave was the constant losing. It's really absurd considering he played his worst hockey this year when we actually still had meaningful games to play, and played his best hockey when the guy on the depth chart ahead of him was injured, and we were 20 points away from even being in the hunt

what I've been reading here is that the main reason this team sucked so bad the past couple of years has been a poor defense lead by the likes of bogo, gorges and the #4 Ristolainen...and that there were a bunch of third liners and fourth liners playing roles way above their talent-level, aka Girgensons, Larsson, Moulson, Foligno, Fasching, Griffith, grant, Pouliot and, let's not forget skunk who was awful early this season...

of all the talented forwards on the team to begin this season, only one actually looked as if he was bringing it every game...and that was kane...

seems as if he had the mental toughness to weather a crappy situation, yet there were plenty in sabreland who wanted him gone

ROR admitted to everyone that he is not a leader, not a guy young players can look up to. He was never brought in on a team that was poised to lose. HE was brough in the same year as Eichel. The first year this team was on the rise. Then they fell flat on their face. ROR was brought in to be one if not the key piece to turn this franchise around, he has proved, he is not someone that can do that.
