Great blog!
I would like to point out something I found very funny when discussing at work with a Bruins fan. MB went on and on about getting these guys with character, even at the expense of skill. Then after this disastrous year, the problem... character/"attitude". - nords21
that's because Bergevin uses character to mask the fact that he has so much trouble upgrading the talent level on this team. character is important but only where it concerns your best players. in Montreal when they talk about character, they're referring to the likes of Torrey Mitchell and Karl Alzner. in Pittsburgh, their character guys are Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. in Chicago their character guys in the glory years were Jonathan Toews and Duncan Keith.

Replace “he has so much trouble” with “he has done (frank) all” and you’re on to something.. |

Because the 3 lottery winners were better than the Habs. |

They finished 4th worst, why are they drafting 7th? - pete26
Because of the draft possibilities......this is the worst they can finish.......and in typical Habs fashion.......they will have the worst things happen to them if possible.
Best is first............worst is 7th.
So 7th it is because this sack of poop team could (frank) up a glass of cold water at this point Petey!! |

Disagree Brandon. Max signs for five more years at 6.0 per. A steal for the Habs again. Get the man a centerman and watch out |

EE* POOL FOR LOSERS VI
2018 PLAYOFFS
*memorial
Tima again for the EE(m)P4L, the one true determining factor for hockeybuzz to determine its most knowledgeable hockey fan as well as its biggest losers.
Here is a reminder of the rules:
-submit only one round at a time, you must submit a winning team and the number of games they will win the series in. (for example, in the Habs vs. Leafs series, a pick is submitted as Habs in 5).
-You can get points for the team and points for the number of games however to get the points for the games you must have gotten the team right.
Points are attributes as such:
ROUND 1: 2 pts for the team, 3 pts for the games, total of 5 pts per series
ROUND 2: 3 pts for the team, 4 pts for the games, total of 7 pts per series
ROUND 3: 4 pts for the team, 5 pts for the games, total of 9 pts per series
FINALS: 5 pts for the team, 6 pts for the games, total of 11 pts for the series
PICKS FOR A RESPECTIVE ROUND MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE PUCK DROP FOR THE FIRST GAME OF THE ROUND.
PICKS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY SENDING ME A PM
There will be 2 prizes awarded for the pool:
1st place: a 25$ gift card for whatever is easiest to send
Random draw: a 25$ gift card for whatever is easiest to send
To be eligible for the random draw you must have participated in all 4 rounds of the pool.
I will update shortly with a list of past champions once I remember my flickr password.
