Why change winter tires at all?

Unless you do it yourself, the cost of changing tires versus the cost of the wear and tear your winter tires will take over the summer = not worth changing them.

You might lose 1-2 years of life on them but meh.

It's well worth the 20 min I spend changing them.

Depends on the amount of km you do in a summer. The rubber on snow tires is not made for high temperatures. You get sloppy braking, and in emergency circumstances it can be dangerous.

I don't mind installing them, it takes me about 30 minutes. ...and also, my winter tires rims make the car look 5 years older
