The blog was about jack. Not mathews or mackinnon. Both teams have no complaints about them. The only good thing i have to say about jack is he took responsibility. so i guess that is a start. if hes gonna do some of the things he does he should.

Matthews will take what Eichel got even though Matthews is a better player at this point of their careers. Matthews will want the team around him to stay competitive.

why is Matthews a better player? Numbers say Matthews is a slightly better player.. Matthews scores at .91 PPG and Eichel is at .85 PPG. And Eichel has Zero talent around him. Toronto has much better players surrounding Matthews.

why is Matthews a better player? Numbers say Matthews is a slightly better player.. Matthews scores at .91 PPG and Eichel is at .85 PPG. And Eichel has Zero talent around him. Toronto has much better players surrounding Matthews.

I’m not a Leafs or Sabres an and I think Mathews has had a bigger impact in his time in the NHL. He hasn’t the far superior team around him, I just see big goals at key times in important games....Jack needs to be more clutch, IMO.

I don’t need to look it up. Ill concede that Matthews is statistically better but TO people think it’s a huge difference between players. I say it’s not.

It's in the the other aspects of the game, where it isn't even close. Defense isn't even worth discussing, Matthews is in another league then Eichel. Face offs, shooting%, they aren't even close. If you're up by a goal or even tied with a minute left in your own end, there isn't a coach in the league that is putting Eichel on the ice over Matthews.

If you're going to claim the Eichel will magically learn to play defense on the leafs, then there is nothing I can say.

I can't stand the Leafs, but, I would take Matthews all day, everyday, over Eichel.
Matthews is probably in the top 20 players league wide.
Eichel might not even make top 50.
