Chad Johnson
"I have to see the change, whether it's through players or somehow convince me through contract, through whatever it is, to come back."

Do any of these players take accountability besides Jack eichel ?

Get that (frank) out of here Chad

I was really shocked about the car thing you can easily get a car for 200 "Lease deal " a mouth if you work that's penuts if your a good driver get a really cheap insurance policy and save yourself money
- gerbe75pts

You also have to put a few grand down up front. If money is tight, you're better off going to a reputable used car place (they do exist) and putting $2k down on a 2008 Honda Accord with 100k on the clock, and finance the other whatever 3-4k over 3 years. Repairs will still be cheap and at least you own something at the end

step one. accept money from family
step two. ask others why they don't have money
step three. profit

Step four: tell people they are ignorant when you say they have what his generation coined white privilege..

Look at the bigger picture. Its not just one player saying it.
- ImThatGuy

thats what caught my eye.. everyone is saying it.. we might as well forget about getting ANY impact through UFA.. no one with any other option is going to come here unless we over pay them after all this chatter.

Nobody is gonna trade for that clown. Either he's going to Europe, or he's getting waived

Bingo. The hockey community is tight nit. They know whats happening here, and frankly, I cant blame anyone for getting out or avoiding this place at all costs.

When do we start looking at the owners going, hey, you've owned the team for 7 years now and every years it has gotten worse and worse.

The only worse situation in the league right now is Ottawa, IMO.

We've got Phil for another year, at least.

Wonder if his assistants are coming back.

I wouldn’t hate to see lindy back behind the Sabres bench as an assistant

I'll thank him for Dahlin if we win. Dude is garbage. He brings literally nothing to this team

He wasn't good before the losing. He was never good. According to Peters, on the instigators, he's always had an attitude problem. He thought he was a top-6 player

If you recall back to his days of jumping between the Amerks and Sabres, he had a hard time accepting his role. Playing Devil's Advocate, perhaps his development by his coaches wasn't handled correctly. You see guys now like Sean Malone, who are developing their roles exactly as how they will be seen in the NHL. Some of these guys can really score at the AHL like Larsson, but if you're a prospect, you should probably develop a long term role. The one you're expected to play.

I'm not giving him a pass on his past (and present) attitude issues, he's always seemed like more of a me guy instead of a team guy.

But I don't blame him for being sick of Buffalo. But if you don't want to be here, then (frank) off. It's that simple.

Very well said on all fronts. The one thing i would add is that i didn't see any accountability or explanation why he had a -30 season, or anything like that. He basically just said "this sucks." His comments, but especially Johnson's comments are infuriating to me because they both sucked. Ocho is acting like the Sabres will be clamoring for his services, while being perhaps the worst goalie in the NHL this year.

His career took its final nail in the coffin against Nashville. He was god awful, and that's not on culture. That's on horrible rebound control and a general lack of athleticism. His positioning is ok, but all a shooter has to do is pick a hole.

So bye bye Ocho, but we're probably stuck with Johan unless he packs his poop for Sweden. I can't imagine any team giving anything up to have him.

those ROR comments dont sound too fun.

Do you think hes traded this offseason?

- DDM-Coga

I don't know anything about ROR outside of liking how he plays Center.

But, I give him credit for the comments.

It reminds me a lot of the Cubs. For the longest time, the Cubs front office was completely content with putting a losing team on the field because their fan base bought into the "lovable loser" mentality and silly "let's play two" and "we try hard" marketing--it was a loser culture that everyone ate up for some reason. So happy I'm a Sox fan.

Regardless, it wasn't until the people (finally) stopped going that the front office decided they needed to do something about the product on the field and the suits running the show.

Maybe O'Reilly's words will spark some changes?

For real though. I read that and thought, "GTFOH!".

I hope he's in the KHL next year. What a goober. He's worse than Lehner and acting like there are actually NHL teams that are going to fight over his services. I wonder if he's in the league next year.
