That makes sense because I'm not comfortable using Fillpula against either player if Konecny and Simmonds are his wingers. That is the downside to that line. On the road though it might happen and I'm okay with Patrick getting some time against them. Bound to happen.

I wonder if on the road it might be more beneficial to have Raffl on the 3rd line with Filppula and Simmonds because he is a little better defensively and has size. Just like a coach tries to get scoring balance maybe you try to balance defensively responsible players.

Not so much for the top two lines but more so for that 3rd line.

I think if Konecny does it there will be more effort to retaliate. He will be a little lightening rod out there. Big reason why i think he could be an x factor.

I didn’t get to watch the game sadly. Was in NYC doing a drinking bar crawl / scavenger hunt but when I watched the game recap they showed PP2 and I had to do a double take seeing Sanheim and Simmonds on it. Was thrilled. Glad to hear they looked great!

I don’t know if they were all that close to scoring but they were moving it around nicely Sanheims skates to well to keep him off the PP. Hak should not have waited this long to put him on pp2. He should have 15 games already under his belt.

There's a hockey guy on YT I watch his videos from time to time. He was saying that most of the writers that submit votes for NHL awards submit their votes like 10 days before the season ended. So all of that amazing work G did in the final games of the regular season - finishing 2nd in points, etc., aren't taken into consideration.
