LOL, the NHL may not want a blood bath, but I can't wait!!

I am thinking Kessler may go full Marchand in that series.

Virtually no chance unless there's another trade with the Flyers that would involve an agreement not to defer it.

I think what you're saying is we will begrudgingly give back Lehtera for 3rd overall

All jokes aside, I really can't. Wlieve that St. Louis expected to find themselves in this position when the made the trade. It was a move for the now and it's turned out that they might have to defer ot because it's a top 10 lottery pick! Wow. I know we focus on lehteras issues, but that trade worked out ok for us I'd say. Frost and another 1st coming our way. Good job hex.

I still find it amazing that it was Giroux's first regular season hat trick. And second overall of his career.

I mean I know he's not a huge goal scorer but still just surprised me

Last week it was the Leafs. I'll believe he's coming back when I see it.

I've said before and I will say again. I wish we had more Schenn's to trade. Loved that deal from the start. You don't wait to evaluate trades

I’m Assuming no, but is there actually a realistic chance the Blues wouldn’t defer the pick if they do indeed win the lottery? I feel like the cost of losing a 3rd round pick for winning a top 3 pick is minimal.
- arichardson22

Why in the world would they do that?

If it was the Flyers in that spot and Hextall took a 3rd and that pick ends up being a top 3 pick he'd be run out of town.

I don't see how the Rangers are going to be good anytime soon tbh. They have some nice picks in this next draft but they don't have much in the pipeline right now and the current roster is a mess. They could sign Kovy and Tavares and still have massive holes.

I don't think its that bad. They have a ton of picks too. They seem somewhat willing to play the young players too

The only realistic way this happens is if the Blues' GM is secretly a huge Flyers fan and is sabotaging his team from the inside.

Although, since we have yet to see the Tarasenko for a 7th trade, I doubt this is the case.

Has Lias Andersson thrown a temper tantrum for finishing in second place in the Flyers/Rangers game yet?

Is anyone else getting annoyed at the glut of people on social media that don't understand the NHL playoff brackets? Yes, the current system sucks. But its locked brackets, really not that confusing. This is the 5th season of the format, and the 3rd time the Flyers are in. Like where have ya'll been?

So....you're saying that Claude Giroux is the Cole Bardreau of the NHL? That's some pretty high praise.

Honestly, as much as I'd love Giroux to win it (and think that he deserves it), I'm just happy that he played as well as he did and that they made the playoffs. I'd rather they go on a deep playoff run than have him win the Hart.

I agree, I just think it's ridiculous how everyone else is just tossing Giroux's season to the side like it's nothing. I wouldn't be mad if MacKinnon or Hall won it over him but, to me, it would be insane to not have G in the top 3.

I remember when they had the Lindros/Holik/Bure/Messier/Nedved group and couldn't make the playoffs.
