Plus two games with Mrazek/Lyon as our tandem. Love the bravado from Pittsburgh fans. If the upset occurs their tears will be sweet.
I really do see TK-Filp-Simmer being the x factor. Pittsburgh is who they are we have the unknown with that line. Coots line vs Malkin line and Patrick line vs Crosby line will be interesting. - dragonoffrost
That's it, too -- the Flyers aren't favored. But they have high-end talent that has played well all season.
I guess my thing is this: Both teams are gonna score. You worry about a series when you truly don't think you can score enough to win, either because they can stop you or you don't have enough scoring ability
I'm not saying that the Flyers are going to lock down the Pens. I think that the Flyers can outscore them in a seven-game, head-to-head set

the whole thing is horrendous. jfc. i still haven't seen anything about what actually happened except the truck t-boned the bus. - hammarby31
I imagine they are going to investigate it thoroughly before releasing anything. my first thought was someone ran a stop sign/light (not familiar with the type of road to know which). |

Most everyone with the exception of a few like the match up. Are you saying that because you actually like it or because it happened. Did most not prefer a series against Washington originally? I know the cards were dealt that way I was just curious to see if that is why most are liking the match up. |

Washington was definitely as the easier but we all knew this was possible. It's not all doom and gloom. Mostly because we are now playing with house money. We were supposed to be a bubble team and we got in. Once you are in the dance who knows what can happen. |

Truthfully? I liked it from the beginning. Wanted no part of Tampa. Boston, when they're playing well, is just as good -- maybe even better.
My thing about Pittsburgh is that you can score on them. That doesn't mean you can stop them. But I KNOW the Flyers are gonna score goals this series -- remember a couple of years back and they just couldn't get a goal against Washington because they simply were outclassed, Neuvirth had to be a superhero for them to win?
This series ain't gonna be that

Key to the series is to win games. Win more games than the Penguins and they have a pretty good shot at winning the series. - Streit2ThePoint

Greatest Flyer ever Patrick Sharp has retired |
|
|
|
I see Patrick is probably going head to head with Malkin. He will need to be much more of an pain in the ass. We have seen that Malkin can easily be thrown off his game but only through big hits and crafty stick work. Not sure Patrick currently has that in his game. |

I would put Filppula on Malkin. Although it's always fun to watch Coots face Malkin. |

Coots/Malkin and Patrick/Crosby when Sullivan has last change.
maybe Coots/Crosby here but really I'd rather have Coots against Malkin also due to his size. |

Based on limited description let out to the public, and photos being released, it appears that the bus struck the broad-side of the semi trailers. It seems at this point like the semi failed to stop at a stop sign from a rural grid road, crossing a highway that had right of way.
There are other smaller details when looked at closely, like a row of wind-breaking trees on the property bordering the intersection that also make it somewhat blind for drivers.
Living here, you can't escape this, even if you stay in your house. Every form of media, and every room or place you walk through, someone is talking about it. Quite sad. - The_Journeyman
thanks for the info. quite sad, indeed. sigh. |
