No, I spend a lot of time watching prospects in a lot of leagues and form strong opinions on many of them. I really don’t care about rankings or hype because I watch enough to trust what I see.
I have been on the Kotkaniemi and Smith train all season. They would certainly be on my list. Though the Flyers don’t draft Finns and Smith is a bit undersized. And both might be gone. The others (some of them) have varying issues, whether that’s their game or being too low in my rankings to take at 14. A couple have crippling issues to me where I’d be wary of them period for fear of not panning out. I was being a little impish with my last post, but I could write a novel on each. |

Thanks for all the info on the draft prospects!
As long as they don’t draft any more slow guys!! Since this team got a little faster, they’ve been much better.

AS bad as they are on the road they have the second best record in the league at home with a 30-9-2 record..
that is insane. - opeth_pa
you want insane? the flyers were 36-2-2 at the spectrum in 79-80. and yet they lost in 6 games on the road in the cup final. we all know why.
point is, all the flyers need is 1 win on the road and they can win the series. would be sweet if they got it in game 1. the pressure is ALL on pittsburgh, 2-time defending champions, favored against the flyers. the flyers are playing with house money. they should be loose, and just go play.
by the way, the very first nhl game i saw live, at 7 years old, was the 2nd of the home losses in 1980. 5-2 against...you guessed it...the islanders. phil myre in goal. i didn't discover this odd stat until a few years ago. had i known then, i could have saved myself the last 38 years of grief. |

Strange but true: the Bruins game just had its first TV timeout of the second period 17 minutes into it. Keeping in mind a TV break can't be had after a goal, during a PP, or after an icing, the flow of the game delayed the first TV timeout until there was 3 minutes left in the period - Giroux_Is_God
never seen it go that long before...maybe around 12 minutes or so. i wish there were only 2 per period. 3 is one too many. ruins the flow. aggravates the (frank)ing hell out of me. |

Yeah it was just flat, no real story build to the match. After that match the show kind of derailed. All in all it ended up a solid, but far from great Mania. |

I really think if they can contain Kessel and Zebras call a fair series, the Flyers will win. I still think it will be easy to frustrate Malkin and Crosby if they are not getting their way. |

So I haven't watched wrestling in years. Honest question. Is it way more scripted now than it was in the days of Backlund and Hogan?
Seems like the male version of a Soap Opera with insane stunts and violence. And I don't mean that as derogatory.
