the jeanerette experience taught me something. i turned to imitating him and that was what helped me through it, because i would make myself laugh. i started doing the same thing with regis. i save my rage for the game itself.

I watched that condensed game and just want to share that with 5ish minutes left in the first Elliot made a fantastic pad save to his right on a puck that bounced to an unmarked ranger in his first NHL game and Regis told us all how he missed the wide open net and it was "unbelievable". Not that Elliot made a great save.

can you imagine if that actually happened. The Blues would have to hit the lottery twice in a row - Giroux_Is_God
given the state of philadelphia sports, this is what i'm going with. i mean...the eagles won the f'ng superbowl with nick foles and 97 other back ups against the (frank)ing pats. anything is possible now.

i do find it slightly annoying the year G has a 102 point season, he loses the art ross trophy to one other person by just a few (ok 6) points. always the brides maid with these.

And on the 8th day, The Lord, rested, looked down upon his creation and saw it lacking. Sayeth him, "this Earth needeth one more thing to maketh it perfect". And so, he created playoff hockey, and saw that it was good.

i was marveling at some of the puck movement by the flyers while watching that 5 minute recap. granted, the rangers blow and had very little to play for yesterday (being a spoiler isn't much...even then it wasn't a guarantee bc of the panthers situation)...but cripes it was fun to see. jumping into holes, moving with speed, attacking the net, puck support everywhere...and that's not with the half a dozen guys that will likely be on the team in 2-3 years including mr.carter (frank)ing hart. morgan frost makes me giddy.
RIght now Im being told that McJeebus should be an MVP over Giroux..
I get the arguments for Hall, dont disagree on that.
I can't go Mackinnon as he didnt score for 9 games prior to last night.

I must be missing something..Im in the Pens thread and a dude just said this" Except for maybe Jersey but they have Hall who most consider the Hart front runner."
I 100% think Hall should be a Hart finalist but IMO Giroux should be the front runner.. - opeth_pa
I think the argument is that his numbers are so much higher than anyone else on his team that it makes him the MVP. I don't agree with that viewpoint but I think that's the argument.
I think it's between Giroux and MacKinnon personally.

For me it's between Giroux and Kopitar. K's constant play on PK, even more than G, and not having the firepower G has to play with make him the front runner. If K wins it, I'd be OK with it. Anyone else, G got robbed.

Eh, I think the hockey press is dying to give it to either Hall or MacKinnon, even though neither deserve it ahead of Giroux or Kopitar.
