They key is the PP. The Flyers have to limit the # of Pen's PP. It ate them alive. Conversely, the reason the Flyers had success against them for that stretch was because the Pen's could stop the Flyer's PP. The Pens have done a fantastic job against them the last year and a half.
If the Flyers can limit this, they have been strong 5v5 all year. The Pens has been susceptible 5v5. This is how it has to play out......and Elliott standing on his head. If he plays like he did for the Flames last, start the bus.

It should be a very entertaining series for sure.

Not saying it's very likely, but I wouldn't very shocked. NJ has shown the ability to really take down good teams.

Tampa has not been playing good hockey to end the season.

I think Tampa has had problems staying interested. They basically clinched a playoff spot 3 months ago.

A 7 game series will expose Jersey IMO. They spent the bulk of the season catching teams off-guard with their speed. Good teams can adapt when seeing them every other night.

Dubinsky makes it 3-2. I wouldn't lock Philly just yet I guess. They only need one point.

Pens have improved 5v5 all year, they won't be easy to beat there. Beating them on their PK is the easier route these days.

No, you were right the first time, they still have another game and can pass Tampa, but right now Tampa is one point up.

So nothing set in stone for Tampa and Boston? Could they still have different opponents in the playoffs?

I'd assume Boston would rather play New Jersey if they could choose.
Tampa Bay should see Toronto.

You boys got this. Philly is a one-trick pony. One absolutely phenomenal line, and 3 lines that do not get much done. Not to mention a crowded net with 3 mediocre goalies, all making between 2-3M. It is a confusing situation, but with Brass, you guys have 3 lines that can roll, especially if you call up Sprong!!

You do realize that voracek has 85 points and doesn’t play on the first line right? The Penguins should win, but they aren’t a one trick pony. Stupid comment.

It’s the Pens’ series to lose, but this won’t be a walk in the park.

The Pens have a nasty tendency to sit back against teams they feel they should handle easily.

I don’t mean this as a slight against Philly. The Pens just seem to come out flat when THEY think they got this.

I don’t expect it to be as physical as passed years, but it should be intense.
