I saw on the worst players from each team thread you think Bortuzzo is bad. For what he brings, I really like him. I would have him as a 6th/7th dman. worst player on this team could be either Sundqvist or Thorburn.

My ire was someone saying Bo is overrated and I targeted that position to show that there were other overrated players on the defense

I don't mind Bortuzzo just don't want him to play above the third pairing

I would like them to move a Gunnar and some other people but if our issues are our 6th and 7th dmen we are in a good spot

I Honestly wouldn't be surprised if he started back doing game recaps as soon as they start playing.

We may have lost him though. I nominate Guru to take over the blogs. He knows the game and has good insights, but more importantly, if he flakes out on us for any length of time we'll know it's just because he's been temporarily banned.

I don't think you have to worry too much about me being banned any longer. I've actually got the PTSD under control for the most part now a days. I am actually working as a fireman down here now a days. The fiance didn't pan out as she turned out to be a pyscho so I had to kick her out of the new home I bought.

Bonus is that all you old timers should come out some weekend and watch a game. I have plenty of room in my house.

The only issue is that I do not have a connection to the team any different than any of you guys. So if that is okay and Ek was cool with it I would love to do it.

I would write about the new jerseys and how stacked this team is and then contemplate if the Blues left enough room for kids to develop onto this team. One also has to wonder if Armstrong liked what he was adding and made a big gamble on pushing for something big.

Everyone is writing about how Allen is a big question mark and a little slightly, but still there whether Yeo is a good enough coach to lead this team. As far as Yeo goes I would suggest he coached better when he had kids competing for roster spots because of injuries which was not all that dissimilar to what seemed to work for Vegas last season.

The other part I get concerned with is this team is good and will need sometime to gel but could they ever get too confident?

Allen has some issues and a big majority seem to be in his noggin. He gets quite defensive about such comments and questions but they are fair questions.

Others have pointed out that he seemed to struggle when the team struggle. Except for early on in seasons past where he seems to carry the team.

I read one pundit believes the Blues won't have to worry about team speed because they added a lot of players who tend to posses the puck; consequently, he suggested they would look like a fast team with the puck on their tape.


I am loving this team.

Wow, Karlsson to the Sharks. I don't care much for him defensively but he adds to an already good powerplay. Sharks just improved for a win now team. Dont think they gave up that much either. Late round picks, 2 prospects, and 2 players that don't add much. Steal for the Sharks really.

everyone knows he wants to be in tampa. tierney is the only guy i have heard of. they did not give up much. senators just screwed themselves with dealing with san jose this off season. add to that the probability of duchesne and stone leaving soon also. Melnyk wants to move the team. Bettman wont allow it. much more money in expansion than relocation

San Jose just improved their team that much though. 1st pp unit of Thornton, Pavelski, Hertl? and backed by Burns and Karlsson. That's going to be hard to stop. Burns being fed 1 timers left and right. works good on paper, let us see how it works in reality. similar to the Blues. ROR centering Tarasenko and Maroon seems to fit. 3 slower guys that are all play makers in their own rights and Maroon with the edge. Schwartz Schenn and Steen seem to fit well??? Bozak Perron and Fabbri(if he can withstand a hit to the knee??) might be a tenacious line????
