Sorry I meant one of them is a starting point

what else you want to give us

I think the blues would be idiotic to trade Parayko unless another team overpays

does one of nylander or kadri make more sense for what you guys need?

i'd value parakyo somewhere between hannfin and hamilton

idk, valuing this one is hard... kadri and a good d-prospect? i think this only makes sense if the leafs get tavares...and we might be willing to add in a pick if we do.

Brodziak to Edmonton

Do we roll with Schenn Thomas Berglund Barbashev?

he stepped up nicely but you don't want him to be your number 2 center

THe issue is the blues need to find a way to make the team better Brodziak is what he is and I would not have been sad if he came back but the team needs to improve and relying on a fourth liner to be in the top 6 is not good enough

Agreed. We already have too many 3rd liners playing up as it is. Wouldn't mind ROR but not for Parayko Thomas or Kyrou

i don't know much about either other than the facts the were great in their leagues. i hope to keep both. I'd rather the Blues suck and turn these kids into great players that we have for a decade and a chance for a cup than piss it away on a player that might make us a playoff team. If we lose Parayko and get ROR, there is NO ONE to take his spot

You guys lol

"I would rather move Dunn than Parayko..." Dunn plays on the left side and we are bereft of anything decent, not old or coming off injury on that side other than Edmundson and he has some growth yet. Looking for Wallman to step up.

I like Parayko a lot but is he going to take that next step? He also just signed a fair deal.

I know everyone is saying Parayko but might just as well be JayBo. If you are Buffalo even after getting a Hunwick a JayBo would be a great piece to add for Dahlin.

If Parayko is moved then I would look to Risto coming back as a piece.

If Parayko is moved, then who the (frank) fills his skates? we don't have anyone. i would be extremely pissed off
i am open for trades cause this team did not work last year, but give me a righty at least coming back on d that can log 2nd line, pp, and pk time

Risto is a RD, whose minutes could be sheltered here.

I think DA undid some of his terrible contracts and got a player that will seriously help the blues

It was a total surprise to me

Kudos DA

Ristolien is a RD lol

But the trade happened anyway.

I really like this trade a lot at this moment in time. I was not liking the Bozak signing but now it does not look so bad.

We kept the better prospects. I like Thomspon but I felt some concern about his ability to reach his ceiling.

Getting rid of Berglund and Sobotka makes this trade sweet. Plus signing Perron for reasonable money and term means this team went from growing to contender in one day.

The only issue with this Blues team right now is goaltending.

Maybe, just maybe Allen can figure it out or play decent enough that the team in front of him can destroy other teams.

I wonder if Armstrong is done. Because this team is freaking looking really strong.

He's essentially done, as the blues have about 8.4M left in cap space and has to sign Edmundson, Fabbri, Schmaltz, and possibly Jaskin and Sunqvist.

Allens issue is confidence blues score 2 goals a game for him and he thinks he has to be perfect and when he lets one in he thinks he cant let another in because the team was that poo offensively

Scoring more goals will allow Allen to play more freely IMO

Same here. He dumped two salaries of his own creation but came away with a good player. Basically the Blues go from Stastny as #2 Center to O'Reilly. I'm good with that.

With ROR, the Bozak signing looks much better and although i hate David Perron's stupid face, its a good signing. If he stays on a third line.

The Blues got nothing from their third line last year, zero. So if you start with Bozak and Perron and maybe Steen, you're starting to look pretty deep again.

The Blues could end up being very deep depending on Kyrou, Thomas or Fabbri.

As Guru stated, really just leaving Jake Allen as your biggest concern.

Allen was fine last year when the team was scoring 4 goals a game

its when the offense dries up that he struggles

He might not be the most technically sound goalie but he is adequate

honestly i could see perron on top line with something like this:

Schwartz Schenn Perron
Fabbri( hopefully) O'reily Tarasenko
Steen Bozak Kyrou
Jaskin Barbashev Soshnikov

Thorburn
Sanford?

I dont see where Thomas fits this year so I'm just assuming they want another full year of development unless they would play bozak on the 4th or something
