Baptiste recorded four goals and six points in 33 games while averaging 9:58.

"I think I've played good hockey," the winger said of his first extended NHL look. "Obviously, I'd like to produce a little more, but when you're in situations where you might be in limited minutes or there's guys that are out there that are veteran players in certain situations, you've got to just do the necessary things to stay up there.

"I've been using my speed to draw a couple penalties, be physical."

No idea what they're gonna do, obviously, but with Reinhart, Okposo and Pominville ahead of him on the depth chart, he's not gonna be getting an good looks next year. Is it really worth playing him on the 4th line?

Maybe package him in some form to offload Bogo if possible

I'm not sure why, but I'd rather see Bruins v Leafs in the first round, as opposed to the B's taking the top spot. So I guess, Go Panthers?

He's kinda been boned by his recent coaching gigs. Wrong place, wrong time.

Would love him back in some form

More will be revealed at the draft. If they get 2 or 3 and hold onto that pick, then maybe He gets dealt as a result of drafting one of the 2 wingers.
Otherwise, keep the head down, focus on playing as well as he can and angel for a move up after Pommer is gone...which could be at the TDL.

Although I would like to see Bogo gone

Bruins play the Panthers later today and could move ahead of the Lightning for first, pitting them against the Devils. And if they stay put, they get the Leafs? Or maybe I have this all wrong. I probably have this all wrong.

Alright then.
I’m getting in line early to secure the 1st spot...

That f(frank)ing Reinhart, plays 3 years and takes a year off during that span...and the Sabres do what? ... reward him with a $(insert dollar amount & term) contract? What were they thinking.
Hopefully now they can use his under-contract status as a selling point when shopping him for a good young Dman.

Did I do that right?

- IonSabres

Sure. May be Adam Larsson is available from Edmonton.

I see the Vanek connection, but again...

1) we wanna get faster
2) Vanek can sign with a contender

I just don’t see it happening

We are a contender.

those teams had a core in place. We've got a guy who broke a faceoff record

There are too many missing pieces for botts to address in one off season

I wonder how long he gets before his seat gets hot.

If the team is just as bad again next year, is his job in jeopardy, or does he get 3 seasons no matter what happens next year?

I got stoned before the Sabres - Lightning game I went to on Friday.
Good deal
I cheered for all 12 goals as Tampa is my 2nd favorite team, being that I local here now.

JBotts should give him some coke before games instead.

Walking in to the BB&T last night I saw a guy in an Eichel winter classic jersey, I stopped and asked him if they were switching back to that blue next year, he wasn't sure but we both agreed that they should and then we went on our ways. Funny, my son and I got to our seats and that guy ends up sitting in the seat right behind mine. He was also a Sabres and now Bolts fan. It was cool sitting there talking Bolts, Panthers, Sabres, and hockey in general with him. Last night was the first time since the Panthers began that I've gone to see the Sabres play against FL. My family moved down here when I was nine years old, and it still feels weird rooting against the Sabres. LoL, my older bro still calls me a traitor. The only times I've ever rooted against the Panthers is on the (many) occasions in the past where FL was out of it by Thanksgiving and Buffalo was still in the playoff race. I wish they weren't now in the same division.

Completely no-snark question: can a 2nd line center be a core piece?

I would say yes. It's probably the 4th-most important position on the team (1c, 1D, goalie 2c)

I can’t imagine this team is just as bad next year, but who knows anymore.

Adding Guhle, CM, potentially top 4 pick, Nylander (maybe), CJ Smith, Rodrigues from day 1, a decent add from a trade...

If we improve by 3-5 spots in the standings he will buy himself a few years.

If were this bad next year, he'll be on the hot seat, but might not be canned. This season was a stroke of genius. He put together a last place team with some of the best centers in the NHL. Buy having wingers who can't finish and a defense consisting of rookies, Nelson, Guhle, Antipin, along with guy's who've lost the ability to play at an NHL level, Gorges, Bogo, Tenny, Falk, GMJB tanked without looking like a blatant tank job.

With a top 3 pick, Mitts, and Rochester turned around, I think Pegula is probably high on his GM.

Pommer is gone after next year
So there’s gonna be a RW spot opening up in the top9
And Okposo is kinda up in the air after his injuries & mediocre season

Plenty of holes on the Left side too

Opportunity is there if Baptiste continues to score & play well

I think him & Bailey are definitely regulars next season

1) we hope we can be a playoff contender

2) there’s teams who are established playoff contenders

3) there’s teams who are Cup contenders

Vanek will have much better opportunities than to sign with us

It’s not even arguable
Saying we are contenders is ridiculous
