He basically said "screw this, I wanna go fishing"

The BN did a great article about him

I've seen Derek Roy's name as pronounced like Patrick Roy's on official sheets before.
- Wetbandit1

your dudeness,

Guhle=GOO-lee is how it's written out on the lineup chart...

rj is old...love the guy, but age, scotch and the crapshow he's been watching for the past seven years has caught up with him in a big way

Sec-er-ahhh was what he started with, but it's Seck-era. I'm probably missing the phonetics.

I thought Kalinin was going to be, well I don't know, Hedman. I thought he was going to be Hedman. First game he played, they were pronouncing it Kal-en-in instead of Kal-eeen-in, that's all I remember. And yeah I guess Goo-lay pronounces it Goo-lee. It's hear say though, wouldn't stand up in court.

I thought it was always, Suckera

It was the travel schedule, and when he found out that RJ got a deal to do a reduced schedule, he said if he was offered that he would have stayed.

I feel like he left well before RJ started only doing certain games. But I could be wrong

It was in retrospect, after RJ got the reduced schedule a few years later, he came out and said he would have stayed if that was something he thought was possible or had been offered.

He was just older and had a passion for fishing, it seems like, and he decided to take time to write a book

I blame him for the Sabres' misfortunes over the years. He clearly angered someone with that.

Wow. If the Flyers and #FlaPanthers are tied in points, ROW. head-to-head, and goal differential after Sunday, they will play a tiebreaking game, the league announces.

That'd be pretty cool

edit:

More
There would be no shootout in this game. They would play overtimes like the Stanley Cup playoffs. Five-on-five, sudden-death, 20 minutes.

In my basement I have a single lightbulb dangling from the ceiling, an old sleeping bag on the concrete floor and a poster-size print of that
