Yep and that has been his demeanor since day one. You would think he was some kind of hall of fame or something instead of some loser back up that barely held onto an NHL career.
- Cptmjl

Exactly. Well, he's got L&M thinking he's a hall of fame GM. "No other GM has won a cup. That's why I haven't."

I'm gonna go the other way on this and I'm sure it will come back to bite me but I think they are all going. I take this is as they still haven't decided and could be waiting for somebody still involved in the playoffs to be finished? I think storming off without anything to say is a lot better then " I have full faith in Snow & Weight. Just my opinion but like I said I'm sure it will come back to me

100% agree.

That's what I was saying earlier. What was the point of them being there if you're going to fire them.
- Isleshockeyman

I don't know whether or not them being there is indicative of anything or just SOP for clean-out/exit interview day, but I don't understand what else Ledecky needs to look into before making his decision.

If the only thing they are going to consider in making a decision is the final outcome of Tavares...then they are being criminally negligent in running their own team.

More I think about it the more I believe Ledecky is going to wait for the fires to cool and slap the fans in the face again by endorsing these clowns because he doesn't want any bad press during Tavares negotiations. The fact that he's allowing snow to negotiate speaks volumes.

Either way they are. They've allowed him to hold the team hostage and handed him complete control. Everything they need to evaluate is right there. The decision doesn't get any easier.

Yeah, I mean, if you're going to fire somebody, why would you let them negotiate with the biggest UFA on the market?

Nothing this organization does makes sense. It's making me feel like Tavares walking would be the best thing for them in the long run, assuming that even means Garth will be fired, and that's fucking shitty

I thought it was reported that Malkin was the one speaking to JT's agent on a regular basis.

We don't really know what's going on, but the way things sit right now that may be the best case scenario.

Yeah. I'm pretty tired of it. Imagine how crappy you're going to feel when JT walks for nothing and Snow is still retained.

Yeah, and that's one hell of a shitty feeling to force the fans that pay to see this team have. "Want anything to change?? Welp, better sack up and hope your franchise player is allowed to walk away without recouping any assets for him!"

Fuck him for forcing any of us feel that way.

Yeah, unless he signs a team friendly deal (which I doubt) I'm going to be pissed at him for a while.

That's right you are correct that's what was reported. Hmmm. Maybe that is telling? (frank) it I give up on trying to figure this bullshat out

Like I've said before, the worst case scenario would be throwing a boatload of money at Tavares (like more-than-McDavid-money) and having him re-sign. Not only would the cap be absolutely destroyed for the foreseeable future, but that would give that fat fucking gutter asshole Snow some sort of excuse. It would be worse than losing him for nothing.

This is why I said he should've been traded before camp... Never had any faith in this season least of all Snow getting it done.

Incredible how losing our franchise center for nothing could quite possibly be the best case scenario. Thanks Garth.

I want to get Botta’s take on today. Hopefully it’s better than his cheer JT blog.

Would it? I think trading him for a group of draft picks, firing Snow, bringing in a competent GM and starting from there would be better. A good deal of picks, pretty good amount of cap space, Lee, Barzal, Pulock, etc. I think a good GM could turn it around fairly quickly with solid drafting, savvy trades and solid UFA signings. You're selling point is the new arena in a couple years and a fresh start.

That's what's killing me. I have to (frank)ing sit here and say that I would rather one of the best players in the entire league walk away for free than allow this (frank)face moron to keep his job.

"It's a big decision and there's a lot that goes into it and that's a big reason why I've taken my time," Tavares said. "For me personally, you realize that you don't know how many opportunities you get to get to this point and possibly see what the landscape is. I don't necessarily know if that's even what I want to do yet."

He then follows this up with his while of course i want to remain an islander BS. Honestly just shut the (frank) up Tavares. If you wanted to be an islander you would've been signed already. Stop with the whole I'm confused routine you sound like a teenage girl.

Holy god (frank)ing damn, skip to 5:51 and listen to what he says.

The process of getting better "started yesterday" and "a big part of having success is when you can identify issues". Yeah, we've identified the issue and it hasn't ever been addressed.
