What kind of shitty business owner allows his employees to dictate who runs your business. If that's how they operate, then how do they still have a dime? - Isleshockeyman
Because they are out of their element when it comes to running a hockey team. They have no idea and have tied everything to JT |

Snow would get the draft and the opening day of FA in that scenario...arguably the two most important days to set the team up for next season. - UIF
And the guy who's screwed it up for 12 years is going to be allowed to do it again before firing him? No way. |

I'm not sure you'd want it to be the person you've judged too incompetent to continue in that role... - UIF
You might not want it, but since he's a freebie (they have to pay him either way).....
No, IHM was right. Lou's kid could be interim GM if need be. |

Unless they tell JT he needs to sign by June or he's getting traded. I'm grasping at straws. None of this makes sense. |

Listen we all know what that means. They aren't going to come out and say its up to JT staying or going whether they clean house. It's facking sad but its the truth - Vukota
While it may be the truth, it's idiotic that the entire future of the organization is being held up by an employee. You fire Snow, put Lou's kid as the interim, of course interview him for the position, and if JT wants out at that point, fine, trade him. Yes I know, there is a huge risk in letting Lou jr. make a deal to trade away one of the best Islander to lace them up. But you can't allow JT to dictate which direction your franchise is going to go. |

Preaching to the choir. We all know that unfortunately the people that need to understand this don't. |

Could not agree more IHM. Garth should have went with Cappy. I just want to know when did JT became, Potvin, Trotts, and Bossy? |

I think you guys are misreading this. I believe they have already decided what they are going to do and don't want to announce it yet for whatever reason. - JimmyP
I agree. There's more to this which I stated earlier but I don't understand the hesitation? If you know you're firing him fire him. I don't want to hear the well some teams are still in the playoffs bs. That's a cop out. There's always some risiculous reason why these clowns don't get fired it's all excuses. |

Exactly. He may as well have come out and said "We're just going to wait and make sure that Tavares leaves before we fire Garth". |

I thought I was kidding about giving JT ownership stake. Maybe renaming the team after JT is not out of the question. After all this if JT signs maybe he can play some defense? |

JT has a sick hold over this team. This mess can really drag out. - ses111
JT can just (frank)ing leave already. If he's truly endorsing these two clowns and somehow is part of what ultimately makes them stay then I don't want the guy near the team. He's part of the problem at that point imo. |

His ego is going to be so out of control after this if he re-signs. He is going to stay out all 5 minutes of the OT and he is not going near the D zone. |

He'll be drawing up all the plays, too. He'll tell Weight to go get bent, it's his team. |

Definite possibility which I'll also say is a (frank)ing joke. If JT won't sign because he's worried aboit his boy Snow than he can leave with him. I'll also say he's a complete moron if I actually believes he can win anything with weight or snow. |
