They could miss out on Tavares, make no moves this offseason, and go 0-20 out of the gate next season and I still wouldn’t feel comfortable betting that he finally gets canned.

Even if they strike out with all this, they're at least explaining the vision.

You just have to assume no one has a plan or any idea what to do, since they refuse to say anything and their actions certainly don't clear anything up. You just have to assume no one has a plan or any idea what to do, since they refuse to say anything and their actions certainly don't clear anything up. This trade deadline was the most deer-in-the-headlights thing I've ever seen with this team, and no one's even tried to explain what the thinking was.

Yes the Rangers have made their fair share of head scratching moves, but they always try to win and do not just let season after season get away from them without making moves. The trade deadline by the Isles was a disgrace. I get not moving the #1's, but you still have two 2's and players like Nelson and other prospects to move. That would have been the last straw for me if I were JT.

Exit meetings are BS and honestly if Doug and Snow conduct them and then are canned is it the wrong move? No. What does what the current GM or Coach have to say in exit meeting mean if a new regime is hired. Absolutely nothing.

Fans are not dumb. They see the Isles do not even try. It would be very different if Garth adding a Cole type dman after de Haan and Boychuk went down and maybe if he sent Greiss down to Bridge and traded Nelson for a better fit for the 3rd line. Fans would then say at least Garth is trying something and not just letting the season fall apart.
