Congrats on the win, Good luck beating NJ in Round 1.
That was a humiliating loss for the CBJ, and all the proof anyone needs that they cannot beat PIT. A truly embarrassing performance, especially in the 3rd period.
If WAS has a goalie that plays like he's a QMJHL level player the CBJ might see PIT in Round 2. - jkumpire
If I actually had an income I would definitely place a solid $200 bet on the Caps not making it out of round 1. I have no faith in them this season. They are a much worse team than they have been the past three or so seasons. |

Eye Test Test^^ - j.boyd919
This actually looks fun. Unfortunately I'm on a time crunch to get my part of group project done before the weekend kicks off since my jagaloon team set the deadline for all our parts to be in tomorrow at 7 pm, and tomorrow is our program's yearly ball. I'll try to remember to get back to it some time this weekend. |

This exactly.
I wouldn't be against seeing Rust on the 4th line. He would thrive there. Jooris seems to be capable.

Ive noticed Dumoulin in a lot of bad ways the past month or so. He gets next to no criticism around here though. - MattStrat
Not from me. Since day one this season I said Dumoulin doesn't "look" good. I don't know if it's his speed/legs or positioning. |

From day one of him playing for the Pens, I always thought he was overrated. He's good and steady, but he's I don't really think he's anything special. |

Jboyd I really like Dumo's symple game. I think we already have Letang and Schultz to do flashy things....anyway it's just this year: I saw Dumo way worse than before (speed and positioning).
Määttä has been very solid. I'm glad we've held on to him. |

The Maatta turn around is important. He's a lot more gifted than Dumoulin is and more well rounded than Schultz is. He's very important to the success of our blue line. That's why I really don't like it when he gets paired with Ruhwedel, as solid as that pairing is. He needs to be on the second pairing at all times |

Oh don't get me wrong, I think Dumo is a solid player. I don't dislike him, I just think he's a bit overrated, and slightly overpaid given his production. |

I think it's because of all the rushes against he breaks up when Letang gets caught up ice. Dumo has mastered gap control and how to use his reach. Far from an ideal #2 defenseman, but he's pretty much the prototype for the new stay at home defenseman. |

Never been a huge fan of Dumo but for his 3 full NHL seasons he is at 55% HDCF at 5v5 which is pretty impressive. |

To be honest, I thought there were a few mistakes, Dumo shouldn't pressed Vanek IMO, and who was the forward? Sheahan? I thought he should have come low as Dumo went to the boards to cover the slot. He got caught puck watching hard and left the slot WIDE open. - j.boyd919
Where were you guys last night when I was saying that and everyone just wanted to blame Letang (who also was at fault). |

I disagree. The player would have had the puck behind the net with Letang in between him and Jenner. He wouldn't have been a threat to score unless he moves up from down low. That would have given Sheahan time to correct.
You're right about Dumo's pinch though, there is no real need for him to be that aggressive. Sully's comments about them not being aggressive seems to have them all overplaying the puck carrier a bit. - Thorny87
I feel like that's been most of the PP goals against lately: over-pursuit on the puck side leaving a guy wide open on the weak side in a dangerous spot. |

Not trying to be a diack, but are we seriously discussing Brassard playing anywhere else but the 3rd line? |

Jooris only played 3:13 last night, they were just giving the other centers extra shifts on the 4th line. Wouldn't mind seeing them do that with Kuhnhackl losing some shifts so he's mostly just OK even though I thought he had a good game last night. |

I feel like it took us getting Brassard for people to start appreciating Sheahan. No way Brassard shouldn't be the 3C. |

I was riding the Sheahan trade within 3 weeks of acquiring him. He should be our 3C after next season. |
