Next year we will be regardless. Unless you want to throw stupid money at Carlson or any UFA’s this offseason cause that has been great for us lately.

WOW you are something else..

how would we be different in the STANDINGS without eichel? please explain without straying from the listing of numbers used in the standings.. is there a spot lower than last? are you saying we would be better without eichel, if that is the case i would like to hear that argument.

Anyways who’s your pick to win the cup ?

Mine the Pittsburgh Penguins

I agree. I think the teams in the Atlantic are going to run each other into the ground and won’t be able to get through Pittsburgh or Washington in the ECF

Girgs (I know) Eichel Svech
Nylander RoR Reinhart
Baptiste E-Rod Okposo
Wilson Asplund Pominville
CJ Smith

Risto Carlson
Guhle Scandella
McCabe Bogo
Bowl-U

It isn't the best but I'd wager that is pretty close to the opening lineup. I think we'll get 2nd again, just based on track record. With Dahlin gone, Svech fits the "get Jack's winger" bill. Larsson, Pouliot, Josefson, Nolan,

Nylander is probably a stretch, but if Scott Wilson can hold his own on that line, I'd wager Nylander can too. Wouldn't hurt to have him with some of the more defensively responsible players we have. I'd push for Carlson, especially if we miss out on the lottery which we mostly likely wil. Thoughts?

You may want to give that list another look before everyone fires a poop cannon at you.

And with Pittsburgh’s experience they just turn it up a whole new level in the playoffs

I would love to see Washington get to the Stanley Cup but I don’t see it

If Hyman can play 1LW why can’t Girgensons ? Believe me I don’t like the proposition of that either, but with the lack of depth at LW it might have to happen to spread the depth down the roster.

Move CJ up or here's a though...put Casey there. Either way I highly doubt we see a roster close to that next year. Putting my bets on ROR getting traded if they see a potential replacement via D trade or FA

Scandella was traded for Ennis and Foligno. Let that sink in for a second. Yes I know pominville was included but if he was as good as you make him sound why could he be had for so little ?

Give us all of the defensemen that deserve to remain, then tell us why and how Scandella is worse than everyone you listed

I'm not against a bottom-6 guy playing with Eichel. I'm against that particular bottom six guy with Eichel. Someone faster would be great. Or someone who hits. Or someone who can stay on their feet. Or someone who has a fighting chance at getting 20 goals.

He played top 4 minutes for a playoff team. He's playing above his ability on the 1st line, that's clear. Doesn't mean he's not a valuable defenseman.

They had a log jam at d, they wanted to offload pominville, and they liked Foligno.

I'm actually surprised that people don't like Scandella. He's probably the most natural athlete on the backend imo

That said playoff team deemed him invaluable enough to be traded. What did the Wild win with him in the top 4 ?

Housley keeps playing him there and talking like they are impressed by what he brings. I wonder if Jack asks for him for some reason. He got unsung hero, the guys in the room seem to like the Lion Eater more than we do.

I'll eat both of my shoes if he's not on the Sabres from day 1 next year.
