To be honest, I'm pro Nylander. I'm one of the last people to want to give up on him. He has supreme talent that he has yet to fully utilize.
I just don't like the Reinhart hypocrisy. - TheSabresTaco
Because there's no excuse for him to look like an AHL player in the beginning of the year and then just turn it on when the season's almost over just so he can get a Payday that's my feeling
Watching him this half a year I just see a player thats selfish that knows he has the talent he just uses it when he wants |

Imagine if we didn't have Jack eichel where would we be in the standings? We might have only won 12 games - gerbe75pts
this is a weird question.. we would be in the EXACT same spot.. what is your point? |

Can we all just stop with this,
I have seen it multiple times...
He is 20 years old and 1 month.
At his age, his brother was in the NHL, and scored more that Alex is in the AHL.
There is concern, let’s not look past it.
Can he turn it around...absolutely, but it fuse is burning. - IonSabres
Never said there is no cause for concern, we all wanted to see him do better. I'm against calling him a bust so soon and a call to trade him for whatever we can get.

Not getting Dahlin is going to be such a buzzkill... - buffalofan19
If we win one of the lotteries it would soften the blow. You or I could play left wing on a line that features Eichel and one of Z/Svech |

They also have Asplud, Malone and PU, all Botterill seems very high on. I could see Asplund and Malone give the chance at making the jump next year. - ImThatGuy
Maybe not next season but Malone will be a fixture in our bottom 6 for years to come. Perfect 4th line C |

Really think they're going to trade a guy they just traded for a year earlier? A cost controlled, top 4 D? Don't think so. |

Would fetch a better return then McCabe. McCabe also is 2M cheaper if you go the cost controlled route. Scandella also a free agent after next season, who says he wants to stay here. |

Next year we will be regardless. Unless you want to throw stupid money at Carlson or any UFA’s this offseason cause that has been great for us lately. |

Girgs (I know) Eichel Svech
Nylander RoR Reinhart
Baptiste E-Rod Okposo
Wilson Asplund Pominville
CJ Smith
Risto Carlson
Guhle Scandella
McCabe Bogo
Bowl-U
It isn't the best but I'd wager that is pretty close to the opening lineup. I think we'll get 2nd again, just based on track record. With Dahlin gone, Svech fits the "get Jack's winger" bill. Larsson, Pouliot, Josefson, Nolan,
Nylander is probably a stretch, but if Scott Wilson can hold his own on that line, I'd wager Nylander can too. Wouldn't hurt to have him with some of the more defensively responsible players we have. I'd push for Carlson, especially if we miss out on the lottery which we mostly likely wil. Thoughts? |

WOW you are something else..
how would we be different in the STANDINGS without eichel? please explain without straying from the listing of numbers used in the standings.. is there a spot lower than last? are you saying we would be better without eichel, if that is the case i would like to hear that argument. |

You don't trade guys for the sake of trading guys. You get rid of them if you have a better option either in the pipes or coming back. And I don't see either. If anything, you use McCabe to bring back something better for the future. I'm not advocating trading him, but of the two, you get rid of McCabe. |
