This is great to hear, it's too early to give up him. But, it's ridiculous that guy's like Girgensons and Larsson aren't actively being shopped. Even if there are presently no buyers, they should still be on the store shelf.
Nylander 19 years old, 5 NHL games, ship him out. Girgensons, 24 years old, 300 NHL games, 12pts per year average, flops around like a fish, but let's keep him for the long haul. - sskkoo1

Do you (we) know this? I bet one of the two are definitely being thrown out there. You don't hear about the availability of low tier players, usually. Everyone you see on waivers, that team has tried to trade them. |

whos to say they aren't?
If girgensons is as bad as you described him, why would people want him for more than a 4th or 5th round pick? if thats all your getting keep him so that guys like Nylander can stay in Roch and mature.. at this point Girgensons is more valuable as a roster spot than a 4th and making nylander play in the nhl |

Nobody wants them. Maybe if they waived Girgs someone would pick him up. Larsson would probably clear |

so is reinharddt tho - TheSabresTaco
He's not living up to first overall pick for forwards
I know I'm hard on him but I don't like it when players decide to be trash and then all of a sudden just start playing half the season..
He could easily do that next year that's why I only want to give him a three-year contract then he can prove I was wrong |

I have a feeling this team likes Girgensons. Much more than Larsson. |

I hope you're right. There is no more room for growth with these guys. They are spot fillers. A team serious about winning cannot have players like this on the roster every night. These are players for tanking teams and hopefully we're done with them now. |

We drafted him because he was a center if I knew he was going to be a wing and if the organization knew zero chance we would have drafted him
He's slow and this game is moving at a faster rate the goal here is to get faster and you can see the Sabres moving into that direction |

If Girgensons or Larsson are holding down rosters spots next season that keep Bailey, Bap, Smith, Malone, or even Fasching off this team, than we aren't trying to win. |

With a proper roster build, I think Girgensons can have a role on this team. You put him with talent, I bet he can thrive (30 points). Needs to fit into the team plans and all that jazz, but you need energy guys with low salaries with offensive ability. |
