I hold the pick because I think Zadina, Svechnikov or Tkachuk are great options
I'd love to get to the point knowing we are picking 3rd and actually debating over which of these guys we want - jimbro83
Ya, I guess it would all depend on the cost/compensation to move up or down. At 3 there’s a ton of options, would be a nice position to be in. Does 3 give us a shot at 1 in terms of trading or will it be more than 3rd/21st/28th etc?
I'm a big fan of Nando Eggenberger in the 2nd. He's got the tools to be a solid top 6 player and performed really well... who am i kidding, i have no idea but he's got an awesome name

Give me Brady Tkachuck, I dont care what it costs in terms of picks to move up if needed to get him... the Rangers need a Power Forward with a mean streak, too many wussies on this team for decades
Tkachuck, Andersson and Chytil is a GREAT young base

I am hoping for Oliver Wahlstrom at #7 or #8. I think he meets our needs of true sniper/scorer. If we fall in the lottery to #10, don't think he lasts that long...
so he's your 2nd player on the board after Dahlin - jimbro83
You never know how guys are going to pan out. And my thought is you take the best available player regardless of what you already have on your roster(See Sam Bowie vs Michael Jordan)
Nobody knows who that generational talent is, consensus is Dahlin is, but you never now.
From my perspective, I like the bloodlines of Tkachuck and feel more secure with knowing what you are possibly going to get. I would be in no way upset if they got either. I just think this team has nobody with that Fire in them. Maybe Lias has it? Maybe Lias and Tkachuck form that great duo, who knows....
This will all be very interesting, debate to continue on ping pong ball day and draft day
From now until then... lets set the blog on fire with opinions, disagreements and the like
If we somehow end up at 2 or 3 I would try and trade that back to 4. Grab Takchuk at 4 and worst case scenario Zadina/Svechnikov are there bc someone loved Takchuk.

Still can't believe that he's this kid and if the Rangers are in the 6 to 8 range this is who I want, been dying for right handed sniping winger
Yeah, I really like Tkachuk, but can't take him there. Got to go for the Czech - mdw7413
I think any team that takes someone in the top-3 that isn't Dahlin/Svechnikov/Zadina is outside of their minds. I would say Svechnikov/Zadina could be somewhat interchangeable at 2/3, but anyone else in that slot would be a reach. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Tkachuk fall to the 7/8 range. I think top-5 will be Dahlin/Svechnikov/Zadina/Hughes/Boqvist. I could easily see Wahlstrom/Bouchard (in no particular order) being 6/7.

Agreed about the top 3. After that it should probably be based on the teams need. imo

Lundqvist, who is starting for #NYR tomorrow, said he remembered what happened in Philadelphia in 2010, when #Flyers eliminated them on last day of season. Now, Flyers need one point to make playoffs.

Not if Peter Holland, Paul Carey and Cody McLeod have anything to say about it!
