That's what I can't figure out. They knew exactly what/who Ho Sang was before, during, and after the draft. They knew he'd be a player that wasn't capable of playing both sides of the puck. They knew he was a quirky weirdo with an oddball mindset. But here we are, a few years in, and they're fighting tooth and nail to force him to be something he isn't and they're only shooting themselves in the foot for it. Either let him do his thing or get rid of him, but having a pissing contest with him helps nobody. This isn't much different than Nino's situation and it'll probably end the same. - eichiefs9
This is what happens when you have children like Garth, Cappy, and now Doug running things. |

Its funny to see writers biases though. He admits defense, goaltending and the PK were basically the biggest issues, but then goes on to whine about Ho-Sang. Ho-Sang does not help any of the three major issues so its really a dumb argument. - mdw7413
Or your reading comprehension rivals that of a 7 year old. He was listing all the problems with the team and ho sang was one. He wasn't saying he was the key to fixing the pk defense or goaltending just listing him as another of the 12 major issues that sank the team this season |

The title of the article was "Breaking down the 12 mistakes that doomed the Islanders season"
No, it most likely wouldn't have changed anything. But what he hell is the point of having an NHL team if you're not going to try and ice the best roster every night? Ho Sang would have made them a more talented team than Fritz or Johnston did...end of story. I'm not debating whether or not Ho Sang is mature/coachable/deserving of a demotion/etc..., but he wouldn't have made the team defensive issues any worse and he likely would have made the third line a more viable scoring option.
I don't think there's anyone out there that would blame their bad season on Ho Sang's absence, but it was still unfathomably stupid to flex their muscles and banish him to the minors all year trying to make him play like someone he isn't. - eichiefs9
The bottom six was also terrible and yet with ho sang, ladd and nelson particularly were better. The team also won with him in the line up whether or not that's a coincidence it's hard to say but no reason not to let him get the experience over career ahlers
Edit staple still may be a homer but he's called out snow more of late and this article in particular nails his ass as 10 of the issues lead directly to snow. The owners disappearing and that idiot yormark going off aren t on him |

Dude, cut him some slack. You know he's from Jersey. Picking on him is way too easy. It's like harping on Uber drivers. |

Thats kind of debatable, saw some god awful turnovers from him that turned into GA. I guess the question would be would the offense outweigh the mistakes that led to points against |

Just one problem with your thought process there, Bob-o. Garth Snow is involved. The sequences take him where his ego leads. |

Alright, that's it. How are you not getting this! 12 mistakes that sank the team. Not what could have helped. Not what they could have changed. Not what could have saved the season. God, I swear. Go put your helmet on and repeat after the following:

No, no you weren't. Your "separate discussion" was about JHS as it relates to the article. You responded to his post about the article. Therefore, you're still discussing the article....needle d ick |

Well I've seen Fritz and Johnston turn the puck over plenty of times too. I know you're not implying this, but Ho Sang is not the only one that makes mistakes. My whole argument is that I'd rather have his skill-set on the ice while things are getting (frank)ed up than someone like Ross Johnston who just spins around like a carousel out there while the play passes him by. |

Yeah, Think it would have also been smart to maybe hook Ho-Sang up with JT. Maybe he could have lived in his basement. |

Better to let a guy learn at this level that is actually going to play there someday. I understand sending him down to learn d and he didnt tear it up in any way but hes the kind of player that excels with higher end talant around him. Maybe he was creating chances that ahl players arent ready for or cant handle maybe he was banging hookers Idk |

If JT ran away from chief at the flower shop, how was he going to handle Ho Sang? - ses111
Little bit of a difference between a teammate and some creepy guy stalking you at a flower shop with a handful of daisy's |
