Snow and dead Weight aren't going anywhere. JT is the one leaving - nyislsbossy
You had that a little backwards, so I fixed it for you. You're welcome. |

when your 2 lotto tix (thanks CGY) come thru JT will stay. then Snow just needs to find a goalie. maybe move 1 of those pics as well for a Dman. You guys are so close.
I think he stays. - storm88
Sadly, I think you're right. However, Snow has had years to address the same problems and hasn't. I truly hope Snow gets shot into the sun, but have a bad feeling JT walks for nothing and Snowjob remains, somehow. |

This reminds me of the Zach Parise debacle several years back. Although it looked bleak at the time, and set us back a few years, it wound up best for the Devils. It'll be alright Isles fans, hang in there. |

JT wants to be in the playoffs. The last thing he likely wants is to sign with the Islanders and handicap whatever team he's going to.... I mean sure the 8th year is a bonus but why would anyone want to inject Garth Snow into their plans to leave? Assuming he's leaving. Not saying he is. - Queenie_5_hole
Personally, I think he's gone. Why would he want to stay with this sh!t show? Snow has done nothing to improve the roster in the last few years to make them a playoff threat. |

Maybe the Flames will Push for JT to make up that lotto pick.
If it's sign and trade. Flames has the assets to still make it happen. |

If I've done the math right (and that's a big "if"), JT would probably prefer a 7 year vs. an 8 year contract.
7 years takes him to 34 years old.
8 years takes him to 35.
From a financial standpoint, you'd much rather be signing your farewell contract at 34, not 35. |

Semantics perhaps, but 1 thing is guaranteed. It won't be the Isles offering that big 7/8 year contract. Nor his farewell contract. |

They need to trade for a Taylor Hall like player though.
Good thing they've got a track record of trading with the oilers. |

hahaha this was the best one.
On a serious note though, If he does leave I will actually feel a bit bad for you guys. I honestly will. Its not right. I would understand him leaving on his side of things but the whole situation wouldn't be right. |
