If there was one positive takeaway from the Pens-Caps game is that Geno is ready. That's the best thing for Pittsburgh to have going into the playoffs. Angry Malkin is score (as we all know). God knows this team needs inspiration before Round 1.

I just hope this last week of the regular season gets them warmed up properly with no more injuries.

Meh the cap hasn't really changed the overall point distribution. It really just penalized teams like NYR and DET that so heavily relied of UFA.

The cap has made league parity much higher. Much. I was watching this league in the 80's and 90's. The difference in quality between the top standings teams and the bottom standings teams was way, way greater than it is now. Its not even close.

Tell that to some of these guys, not named Patric Hornqvist. Some of those guys look and play uninspired. Horny never turns off. I'd kill to be able to bottle his drive and attitude.

As for Horny, he is always playoffs, and thats why I love him so much. He's a gamer. He brings 100% every game.
