That would definitely be a nice upgrade on the left side. But we still have a gaping hole on the top pair on the right.

Defense is the biggest problem. All of our dmen have contributed to more mistakes for scoring chances against than contributions to scoring chances for. ALL OF THEM. Without some major upgrades on D this team goes no where.

The defender is paramount no doubt.
But without a proven scoring winger beside leon, going into another season depending on unproven guys to significantly produce is a huge mistake imo

The slep/puju/khairas developing further and producing should just be gravy. But not integral to any success we might have

That said, I’m Not ignorant to how badly pc fuked the cap/ movable assets and thus how difficult it’ll be to make an upgrade happen

It’s true. Admittedly, I haven’t done a ton of research on who the top flight right handers s potentially available are. But most of the names are lefties I think. (Correct me if I’m wrong)
And certainly of oel’s echelon there’s very few. I think if you can acquire a guy like him (a true 1 franchise) you worry about figuring out handedness later and pull the trigger

As far as his holes go, look at the Sabres roster. Guy has zero (frank)ing help on the blueline, and is forced to play way too many minutes as a result. Cut down on his usage and I think these holes would largely disappear.
