Which team was the AHL one? The one that entered the game with the same amount of points as the Flyers and is one point behind both St. Louis and Anaheim for a playoff spot in the more competitive Western Conference? Granted, their two starting goalies were injured, but so were (are) ours. - jmatchett383

Ghost would give you a much better chance of getting the puck out of the zone and relieving pressure than a plug like Manning. - Feanor
Agreed. I don't want Manning on the ice in any crucial situation. |

Yup, I was at that game too, it was probably the loudest I ever heard the new building, the joint was rocking. However, the decibel levels don't even come close to the Spectrum when JJ Daigneault scored that huge goal in game 6 of the 87 finals. We thought the Spectrum's roof was going to come off for the 2nd time!! My dad tried to say something to me right after the goal, and even though he was right next to me, I couldn't hear a word he was saying. It was insane! - BiggE

Do they go back to Hagg on Sunday? Sanheim only got 12 minutes last night. - Feanor
They should go to Hagg, but Manning is the guy that should sit. Good luck seeing that though.
I'd think about splitting up Provy and Ghost and would run with
Provorov-AMac
Hagg-Ghost
Sanheim-Gudas
I just can't imagine Sanheim being any worse a partner with Gudas than Manning.

If MLB:The Show is supposed to be so realistic then why did I just pitch a perfect game with Jared Eickhoff? |

I wasn't there, as I didn't get my season tix until 05/06. I think the loudest I heard it was Giroux's OT winner in 2010 and when Hartnell tied Game 6 in 2010 (the game ended in a tie). |

gudas and Manning over 18 and Sanheim at 12, love the win but that TOI is a joke. Hak tends to hang on for dear life in the 3rd. I get it but teams like the Pens, Caps, Bruins etc, actually go for it. If you keep sitting back you will win some and lose some but your team will expect to sit back. If they make it to the dance, Hak will need to change and change quick. |

Did he also go 3-for-5 with 2 home runs and 4 RBI in a 35-0 win? |

I just wish I could have been in Boston for game 7 in 2010. Just to have been able to bask in their misery would have been wonderful.
BTW, after the game, my dad said the last time the building was that loud was in game 7 vs the Rags in 1974, right about the time Dave Schultz was pounding Dale Rolfe into a bloody pulp!

Lyon will be demoted and promoted without ever being away from the team.
Neuvirth is 7-2-2 in his last 11 decisions. That's very good. Those games have taken place over a period of four months, which is less good.

The odds of Neuvirth staying healthy for a full NHL season are somewhat less than the odds of Donald Trump divorcing Melania so that he can marry Rosie O'Donnell.

Those teams are better teams. Hakstol made significant changes to how this team plays overall and it has paid off. Getting to the playoffs and changing how you've played for most of the year isn't likely going to work very well. Like most coaches in certain game situations, Hakstol tends to shorten the bench.

Most coaches shorten the bench of the game is critical. I enjoy debating who I think should be in at what time, but I trust hak and hexy really. I lose my mind when they play like they did in Detroit, but to me the real goal is to get into the playoffs with a decent seed and get the kids experience so that our window to contend opens in 2 years. The way hexy has restocked the system it could be a window that lasts as long as Chicago. That's the real goal.

Major gut-check game. Can't remember the last time another team had that many good looks at the end of a game.
That shift you referred to at the end was brutal. I was really surprised Hak didn't take the timeout there. Lehtera, and really that whole line, put up an almost heroic effort to not take a penalty and finally get that puck out of the zone.
I looked at the Panthers schedule last week.... THREE games against Boston at the end of the season! Dang. Maybe Boston takes their foot off the gas b/c their playoff position is secured? |

I saw MJL once again responded to one of my posts. I am assuming it was along the lines of: Man oh man, that BiggE is a bonafide hockey genius. I just wish I could spend all day basking in his glory.
To all who waste time going back and forth with him ad nauseum, you should try it this way. It's much more fun and much less time consuming! |

They're fighting for that 1 seed I'd say. Events last night almost cripple Floridas. Chances unless no collapses. The flyers really only need to get 5 more points and fla sched is brutal.

Or, maybe Boston goes all out because they have a chance to overtake Tampa and they'd much rather have home ice throughout and play us, the Devils or the Panthers in the 1st round rather than Toronto.
