Or always have one of Provorov and AMac out and rotate the others. Maybe do something (ideally) like:

2:00-1:30 - Provorov + AMac
1:30-1:00 - Provorov + Gudas/Manning
1:00-0:30 - AMac + Gudas/Manning
0:30-0:00 - Provorov + Amac

Ghost would give you a much better chance of getting the puck out of the zone and relieving pressure than a plug like Manning.

MacDonald belongs out on the ice in that situation. I'd prefer it to be with Provorov though.

I thought Manning was stuck out there because of an icing.

You wanna see some crazy poop, watch OT of Game 6 of the 2004 ECF. Players are getting straight-up tackled, football style, all over the place. At once point, MSL has the puck and a Flyers player jumps through the air and tackles him. You used to have to almost murder someone to get a penalty in OT of a playoff game.

That was a brutal series for sure. I just remember in I think game 5 of the TB series in 95, Rudy Poeschek elbowing Lindros in the face behind the net with the ref just watching Lindros go down. It’s infuriating even now to watch what guys got away with.

I agree, but Hak would never put him out late in a game to protect a lead. But yes, I did mention that very fact.

Do the Pens have their 1st round pick? If so, I don't want to see them miss the playoffs. You just know that Uncle Gary will make sure his favorite team wins the lottery if that happens and the Pens will get the Dahlin.

On the pro side, we take two points and shutdown Nathan McKinnon.

On the con side, we keep the game close against an AHL, which is the Flyers MO.

Ummmm no.....Colorado is one point out of a wild card spot and 4 behind the 3rd spot in the central.

Which team was the AHL one? The one that entered the game with the same amount of points as the Flyers and is one point behind both St. Louis and Anaheim for a playoff spot in the more competitive Western Conference? Granted, their two starting goalies were injured, but so were (are) ours.

No way I waste 4 million plus and a pick on Mrazek. If they can move Neuvy, and they aren't convinced that one of Stolarz or Lyon can be a capable backup, then just sign a capable veteran to a one year deal to back up Elliott.

he would have to go on the run of his life and magically have rebound control

It was a stone cold purple monkey dishwasher lock that we'd have trouble scoring vs a non starter.

Question: If we resign Mrazek, Detroit gets our 3rd in 2019. Does that only count until July 1st when he becomes a FA? Could we not qualify him, allow him to become a UFA, and then sign him for cheaper as a UFA without losing the 3rd?

That's a good question but I don't think it matters how we resign him just as long as we do.

This is why the numbers Primeau put up in 2004 are so amazing. Back then by the 3rd round of the playoffs, the refs were letting anything short of decapitation go. He put up most of those points with 2 guys draped all over him. If only we had a couple of healthy Dmen, we could have done more of the same to the Bolts and won that (frank)ing series.

Dammit, now I'm miserable again.

Provorov is tied for #2 in D goal scoring.

They will beat the pens for the #2 spot.

Carry on.

yeah man, I flew up to philly for game 6, wow, it was oranged out...

I surprised my dad, cousin and brother, we had 4 tickets 2 lower bowl center ice and 2 second level all good seats. We went up to the second level and gave 2 people there our lower bowl so we could sit together, they thought we were joking.

Yup, I was at that game too, it was probably the loudest I ever heard the new building, the joint was rocking. However, the decibel levels don't even come close to the Spectrum when JJ Daigneault scored that huge goal in game 6 of the 87 finals. We thought the Spectrum's roof was going to come off for the 2nd time!! My dad tried to say something to me right after the goal, and even though he was right next to me, I couldn't hear a word he was saying. It was insane!

Do they go back to Hagg on Sunday? Sanheim only got 12 minutes last night.
