The Flyers don't really hit either aside from 1 Simmonds hit in the 1st and that (I can't believe it wasn't called) hit that Konecny just threw. Too many stick checks and teams just overload them along the boards and beat the Flyers to pucks.

He's never been solid defensively but he used to fly in and punch pucks loose with aggressive forecheck and body checks.

The Couturier call was weak. The Voracek was stupid. The delayed call was ugly.


You're right though. 5-on-5 they've held their own and looked better for the most
part. But that Jake penalty was a momentum killer. Now they're going to have to chase the rest of the game. Hopefully the chase doesn't lead to tired, third period legs.
