We squeaked out a win against a bottom dweller with manning gudas being an abomination on d. I'm not so sure. But it's not like we have morin or oduya as healthy options. Whomever is in that 3rd pairing role will be asked to get half the pk minutes and shutdown. We don't have other options atm.

That 3rd pairing is scary. You can't get too caught up trying to play the matching lines game in Pittsburgh. Patrick, IMO doesn't need sheltering as he's playing up on his skates with a lot of confidence and has been solid defensively all season long. Couturier's defensive prowess has fallen off a little this season IMO, as he's been a bit more focused on the offensive side of the puck.
