i'm from long island ny. home of my beloved islanders. my 4 cups in a row islanders. i love where i grew up, having an ocean 3 miles from my house. being able to go to nyc and see shows and eat at some of the best restaurants in the world. every top performer, whether it be an athlete, musical group or movie star, wants to play in nyc. i am very happy to be here.

with that being said, i've go to cowtown about 3 times a year on business. great place. people are friendly and passionate about their only pro sports team. game day the city is wearing their flames jerseys. a great thing and amazing to see. there was a time i would have moved there. but ever since they closed the french maid down.....

the truth is our teams are not that far apart. i could only hope someday soon we meet in the cup final.....

What the heck happened to Brodie? Doesn't seem like very long ago he was pretty highly touted. Could be a big mistake to trade him at his lowest value

Isn't trading Brodie for a 1st round pick stepping sideways? How is this supposed to improve this team? To call it basically Hamonic for Brodie is disgraceful,

Is Rasmus Andersson what this team has been missing?

What is out there in free agency that is going to step in and make this team a contender?

The entire franchise needs a new voice and new direction, BB, BT and GG need to move on they have had years to make this and haven't won a playoff game.

Not to mention the highest draft pick in team history was used on a 3rd line energy guy.

I don't think Brods should be shipped out for a down year. Get a new coach and scoring winger and suddenly the flames bounce back to the average... Which according to this article means a very good team

I agree 100% Irish, Brodie's had a down year and it's mainly due to adjusting a new D man in Hamonic, lately they seem to be getting a lot better and gelling. Trading Brodie for a 1st rounder would be stupid, not all 1st rounders turn out to be great. On the other hand I think the Flames need a new coach.
