A few days ago, I finally just quit reading anything he posts. Try it, you’ll be glad you did. Life is just too short to waste your time reading the pedantic blatherings of a know it all jackass.
He’ll probably write some kind of arrogant passive/aggressive response to this. I hope someone enjoys it. - BiggE
As I sit in a airport bar sampling the latest IPA’S.... this made me spit the stale peanuts out on the old lady besides me.... well done sir. |

To me Provorov has not looked very good with ghost. Provorov is not playing to the level he was at in the 2nd half of last year. - Just5
For a significant portion of time this season they were fantastic. Provorov has slipped in play recently. I don't think it has anything to do with Gostisbehere.

Imo he’s going to end up losing the room with his approach.
Hopefully he proves me wrong.
I don’t get the obsession with turds like Manning and VDV. Safe plays and all sure, but it’s weird to me. - flyer_nutter
I can’t agree more. He’s obsessed with “simple” + “hard-working” + veteran. It’s honestly infuriating. |

The point that you didn't know or predict that he was going to put up a 70 point season
Now can you show me any analyst in the NHL that predicted or thought that Couturier would put up a 70 point season?
Incorrect. I stated twice that I stand behind my statement that I made on Couturier and how I viewed him as a player. Also incorrect in saying that no GM would use him as a first line center. The Taveras conversation has nothing to do with this.
When are you going to admit to being wrong about Sanheim and his game earlier this season before being sent down and how your statement that the only thing that changed was his PDO was wrong?
Notice how current and up to date I'm keeping it? - MJL

Hakstol is obsessed with playing the game the correct way and making sure young players correct the areas of their game that need it. That's why a player like Konecny is not just going to be an offensive player, but is also eventually going to be a reliable two way player which is going to make the Flyers that much of a better team in the future.
The Flyers like most teams who are building through the draft and in the mean time are using veteran players as stop gaps and fill ins until they can develop those players. It is proven that if and when Hakstol is presented with a younger player who can take on a bigger role, that player will be used over a veteran.
There are so many false narratives being floated about Hakstol that it's comical. I don't find the overall situation of the team under Hakstol infuriating, I find it exciting. The team is in good position to make the playoffs and all the young players are progressing and growing under Hakstol. He's done a solid job overall with the team this year. |

i just went back and read some of that thread......its (frank)ing hilarious, joe grief arguing that G sucks because nobody in his fantasy league of 38 years wants him hahahahahahahah.....thats when I got the 3 month ban because rinaldo went really personal on BiggE and made a few comments about his wife. I responded to rinaldo by stating he obviously got his intelligence from his mother because she couldn't figure out how to use *pic of wire hanger*

I’ve read this already. Why didn’t provorov get benched the last 2 minutes? He’s been awful the last few games in his own end. He’s also a young player. Short answer, because that would be ridiculous - just like benching TK was...
It’s a chicken and egg problem. At some point you need to trust a player and put him in those situations. It’s all happening very arbitrarily. I would’ve road Ghost, Sanheim, or (lol) MacDonald if we’re living and dying by Hakstol’s methodology.

That's backwards, at some point the player has to earn that trust. Provorov with his play since he's been a Flyers has earned that trust and the leeway from the coach when he has a bad game or a bad shift or play. Konecny has not. It is by it's nature not consistent and different for every player. Konecny has made a lot of strides in his game which is why he earned a spot on the top line but he is still a work in progress. A player like Konecny who has had the issues that he has had cannot think that the faults in his game are okay if he just scores goals. Benching Konecny was not ridiculous it was necessary. If Hakstol hadn't handled Konecny like he has he'd still be forcing plays, still playing as individual outside of the team scope, and still had many bad habits in terms of puck management. Hakstol has done a very strong job handling the young players particularly with Konecny. |

While I agree with Hak’s methods of handling the youngens, TK’s TOI in the 3rd last night was a joke, that was a mistake
I would also say Hak’s TOI for several other players was off and a mistake |

Holy hell
As I always say, if it's like this when they're in the playoff picture, it's always hard to fathom how much worse it is when they're out of it
