I don't think so. Aside from his overusage of Elliott earlier, I don't think he's ridden his goalies too hard. Going with the hot hand and sticking with a goalie for 10+ games are different animals.

The team looked like dog crap last night trying to play protect a lead during the majority of the 3rd. It was a minor miracle the rangers didn’t tie it.

Konecny would be a valuable player to have on the ice in late game situations against a team pressing to tie because of his breakaway ability. I am not seeing the carelessness in his game to warrant this benching

Agreed. I don't have a problem with a coach benching a guy who isn't as strong in his own end in favor of far better defensive players, at the end of a game. I just don't think this team has those players. How many times has this team been scored on in these situations this year? If they had shutdown guys to send out there...I'd be all for it. They just don't seem to.

He may WANT them to do it, but his approach hasn't been yielding those results.

You're right. But if he doesn't, then he's open to criticism, at least more of it.

I understand that he's doing what he thinks is best to win the game. I just disagree with him on what those decisions should be. That includes lineup decisions, but that's a somewhat different topic.

I understand that he's doing what he thinks is best to win the game. I just disagree with him on what those decisions should be. That includes lineup decisions, but that's a somewhat different topic.

Same, on the general prevent strategy. Sometimes I agree with his lineup decisions, sometimes I don't.
