Giroux probably won't be nominated but what a year this guy has had. Did I see this coming ? no. I thought he was better then what he had shown in the last couple years, but figured injury and age had caught up with him. It's not like he would have been the first to have that happen, but he got that one step back that was missing and looks like the 26 year old Giroux. Fantastic.


I think an overlooked part of this whole thing is the decreasing need for an overly physical element to his game. My biggest concern was wear and tear catching up with him. Giroux, by moving to wing, has drastically reduced that. the hope is that the move outside can extend the time in which he can play at a high level. I also think its interesting that his PIM is as low as it has been in his career.

My bet, no lineup changes but I think Hagg should be back, he hits and all know it. Manning is tough but no one is thinking about him what so ever

I think gudas should be benched. His game was horrendous.
