On Lyons for Sunday neuvirth will be ready. Lyons has to either be sent down or officially recalled. I don't see us using a recall on him.

...or Petr gets a mysterious "injury" that will keep him out a few games to allow Lyons to stay up a couple more.

Benched Konecny.

No words.

Nobody will like it but Marchand deserves to be in the convo
- Just5

Disagree. Suspensions for his crap are not MVP material. Frank him

A vertigo diagnosis has a history of working in Philly.

So because its more important to stay ahead of NJ and to a letter extent, Florida, than it is to catch the penguins or Columbus i guess its better to see the Pens beat NJ. Honestly I think the best match up is Washington (not that beating them would be easy) than playing Tampa, Pitts or Columbus. I don't think anyone wants Columbus right now.

I'm hoping they keep Lyon up if Neuvy comes back. I can't see the team being very confident in a Neuvirth/Mrazek tandem.

I'm happy they won, especially against the Rags.

That said, despite some of his good ideas, I'm so past done with this head coach. I feel like the players have gotten him to this spot in the standings, not the other way around.

It wasn't just Konecny being benched that led to the Flyers being stuck in their own zone most of the 3rd period. It was Filppula and Lehtera getting more 3rd period ice time than Patrick, and Manning getting more than Ghost and Sanheim (after being a healthy scratch the past two games).

So I guess the ref had clear sight of the puck the entire time?

But yeah, ridiculous.

Travesty. Nobody knew where the puck was. How could the refs not blow the whistle?

That said, yes, it is funny.

Grammar update, folks: As used above "Lyon's" is a contraction for "Lyon is"

It was horrible to me because the only real push we had in the last 5 minutes was largely created by tk. Than he got benched for the rest the game. I just hate the play to not lose mentality.
