I've been told you never go full habtard.... I suppose it is possible, that the plans to Habotage us are already in play...

I said something similar Last week, Plekanec isnt on the scoresheet but having him has helped the bottom line and raised the floor a bit.

Just wait until the playoffs when he takes his game to the next level. Like he always does.

he's true playoffs warrior.

He will be put on shut down duty and play on the PK.

Well so far I've seen a fair amount of Habs fans say "he never goes in the corners" and I've found that to be untrue so far.

However, him or Moore.... couldn't care less which is out there but I'd give a slight edge to Plekanec.

Which is what we need... I think in the playoffs, if you're good 5 on 5, you can have an average powerplay, but you need to have a really good PK.

I dunno...they traded him to one of his most hated rivals, stuck him on the 4th line, AND took away his turtle necks. Some nights I wonder if he's working against us...

Meh, it was poorly written anyway, first he says that it was the first regulation loss since Detroit on Jan 17th by a score of 3-1 then he says its the first time they 've given up 2 or more goals since dec. 19th. a 40 game stretch

Just like Nick Kypreos post game.. Said that the Leafs were lucky to catch Nashville on an off-night... WTF?

Wedgie's Magic Number Watch

(Please note: all figures quoted are for Leafs to be free and clear, without having to go to tie-breaker system)

Leafs currently on pace for 105 points - which would be a franchise record. 64% winning record.

Florida currently on pace for 92 points. 56% winning record.

New Jersey currently on pace for 92 points. 56% winning record.

To lock up 3rd:

Magic number is 7.

If the Panthers win their remaining 10 games, the Leafs need a 3-4-1 record or better to lock down 3rd place.

To make the playoffs:

Magic number is 6.

If New Jersey wins their final 9 games, the Leafs need a 3-5-0 record or better to ensure we make the playoffs.

Man the Leafs commentators on the radio said it best after the game. They keep beating top teams (second time they beat Nashville this year) and remain a top 6 team in the league from start to finish this year. You have to give them respect that they are a real good team.

They went on to say how the Leafs are the envy of teams like Buffalo and Arizona who have struggled for longer than the leafs and looking to turn it around.

I believe that was the last road game were they didn't get points, that sentence was also poorly written.

I was listening to Zeisberger being interviewed on the radio this morning.

According to him, the radio feed for Nashville last night was saying that the 1st period was the worst they have seen the Preds be dominated this year - that the Preds simply couldn't match the Leafs' speed.

Had to listen to the end of the game last night on the radio. Bowen was saying he'd rather see the young Leafs NOT get home ice advantage. His point that starting on the road would be better because if they get in a position to win the series, they'd be much better trying to lock it down with high pressure at home as opposed to on the road.

I don't understand why the TV personalities all have to hate the Maple Leafs.. Yet, Joe Bowen, who is one of the biggest Leaf-homers is on the radio.. I can't stand Romanuk or Millen on SportsNet.. Hughson on CBC is just as bad, if not worse.
