Both are undrafted free agents, and both had interest. Veronneau led the Tigers in scoring with 55 points in 35 games. Teves was tops among defencemen (fifth overall) with 33 points in 30 games.

A bit disappointed that Veronneau isn't turning pro. Josh Teves would have been a decent addition to Van's D.

If you watch the first video, you will see Svechnikov score a goal earlier in the season. The defender who he makes looks bad is Van's own drafted player Matt Brassard.

The second video the hit he got suspended for can't really see but it doesn't look like a hit that should warrant 4 games.

Well I don't know about you all but sweeping the Hawks I will call this season a win.

Glaringly funny thing about this, is that many in here have said that if Van wins a cup that the losing after won't matter. Chicago fans got to see 3 cups and one down season they are bashing the team pretty good. I don't doubt that Van's fan base would be exactly the same.
