I'd say that since the Flyers are going up against a backup to a backup, they'll get shutout.
However, since they laid an egg on Tuesday and let a valuable point slip away, I see at least a 45 minute effort tonight.
- hockeylover
There will be 60 minutes of effort. The quality of effort is the question. |

Flyers say Wayne Simmonds had maintenance day this morning. Defenseman Robert Hagg a healthy scratch based on play vs. Detroit. Alex Lyon starts in goal
@NHLAdamK - ajw12
Hopefully Simmonds spent his time reviewing the Detroit game tape and relearning the finer points of defensive zone coverage. His multiple breakdowns on the one Detroit goal was atrocious. |

I don't think that 8 games left in the season battling for a playoff spot is when you start sending messages by sitting players for entire games. Make him sit a few shifts instead.
(frank), if they win tonight, I see Hagg staying sidelined for Brandon "Yahwe" Manning. |

In a row? Or will the 15 crappy minutes be spaced out to match up perfectly with Ranger good fortune? - Scoob
Spaced out with Ranger good fortune. In all honesty, if I have to watch Barkann in his blue glasses lamenting about another missed opportunity for the Flyers to earn points on post game live, I'm going to throw up.
They need this win tonight. |

I think I'm forced to watch the Rangers telecast tonight. |

I could have sworn earlier in the season it was the Rags going to the playoffs and the Flyers on the golf course... - Ftown19125
Your right but what’s your point really? If the flyers get swept in the first round you can always fall back on your stock response.... “we were just a bubble team” “no one thought we were making the playoffs anyway” “it will take two or three years before we truly become a contender for the cup” blah, blah, blah |

No one did expect them to be a powerhouse this year. I don't think they'd get swept, but they'll definitely be a pretty big underdog no matter who they play. This year is about getting the kids in and, hopefully, getting them some playoff experience.
Thank you for stopping by. |

I don't think we're a bubble team. I think we absolutely should be a playoff team with the emergence of our young players. But I don't think we are top contenders. I think we could (doesn't mean we will) beat everyone except Tampa and the pens in a series if we get proper goaltending. |

I wouldn't count on us against Boston either. Against anyone else, we'd have a puncher's chance, but still wouldn't be the favorite. |

I don't think any Flyers fans would be happy if the Flyers are not competitive in a playoff series. If they play well and compete and lose to a better team in a series, so be it.

I mean can and will are two different things. We looked good vs Boston a couple weeks ago and they have been limping into the playoffs recently with injuries and poor play |

😂😂 it's going to be some tough decisions on what to do in net once Elliot and neuvirth are healthy. How do you send Lyons down if he keeps this play up? |

I'd go Elliott, Mrazek, and then Neuvirth. Would make sense to send down Lyon.

Well, you figure Neuvirth breaks every bone in his body getting on the bus, so you roll with Elliott and Mrazek. Personally, I'd rather stick with Lyon over Mrazek or Neuvirth, but you let him be the LHV starter. |

Wow, first game back for Hagg and he gets the hook because he didn’t play well.
Like most of Hak’s calls but if this is true, it is a double standard. |

That may be true but with a first ballot hall of fame goaltender if you get in you have a chance. That’s why the flyers won’t win a cup until they get an elite goaltender and maybe not even then. If I were a flyer fan I’d hope carter hart is the real deal.whats really hilarious though is some of you on here said hank wouldn’t be a third stringer with the flyers now THATS hilarious |
